I don't know why you would link to a 4-year-old article when they repeat the study all the time. Here's the most recent data:

    http://pewresearch.org/pubs/993/who-knows-news-what-you-read-or-view-matters-but-not-your-politics

It's a silly group of questions to gauge overall political knowledge, but if you use their metrics, Rush's listeners are more informed than Colbert Report viewers and much more informed that Daily Show viewers. If you restrict it to the two domestic questions (after all, who cares about Gordon Brown?), Rush's listeners are among the most informed.

That all being said, there are plenty of well-informed stoned slackers.

Which is why the only ads you hear on Rush pitch male pattern baldness solutions, weight loss miracles, and heating oil investments.

Im glad you feel the honor to be the official interpreter of the constitution. Free speech has nothing to do with the Sherman Act. The First Amendment does NOT guarantee an opposing voice. IE. NO Censorship, such as your free-drugs-4-all perspective. If it means that much to you, then go start your own liberal national broadcasting company. If thats too much work, we better start forcing liberal blogging and news media on the internet.

Rush pulls crap outta thin air all the time though. TDS and CR are extremely biased but they never really just make crap up.

I find that TDS makes fun of both sides equally. Have you heard what Stewart has said about the various appointees with tax problems?

I can understand not letting someone say something, i.e. fire in a crowed theater, but forcing someone to say something is an entirely different concept, one that I would be very worried to see implemented.

Wait, I thought your sexy heroin (get it?) recently wrote a book on the virtues of McCarthy yet here you are posting a pic of him with those dastardly Dems.

    No hobgoblins for you.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the Admins did that under the authority of the little known, but all powerful, D-bag Doctrine.

Then you haven't been watching. Stewart has riffed on Obama pretty much every day since the inauguration.

Comedians and satirists must make fun of Republicans and Democrats equally, regardless of their differing humorous attributes, lest they be labeled as politically slanted

It's bad business policy to be partisan in the world of satire.
