People mistake Iverson for being better than Thomas because Iverson was the first of his kind. Very exciting player. This shouldn't mean that Thomas can't have a better season than what Iverson has ever had. We should only look at the facts, friends. Leave agendas and personal biases outside the door.
Lebron KD harden curry are clearly better than Iverson imo. I don't think many would disagree with this. Westbrook is prob his closet comparison because they both score a lot and are very inefficient players but Russ is bigger and gets more rebounds and assists. I would prob take Anthony Davis over Iverson. So I guess that's only 6 guys I think are clearly better players than Iverson although I hate Westbrook so I would pick Iverson over him lol. It's just hard for me to judge AI because the 76rs really weren't that good of a team. They had that one year they went to the finals but other than that they didn't have much success. He was a lot of fun to watch and very polarizing but I think because of his size and likability from young ball players who are current players now he's been elevated to a higher level than he actually really was. Like I think those trailblazer teams with sheed and pippin as well as the kings with Webber and peja were altar better teams and had more success even though they never made the finals. I think Iverson would be good in today's NBA but I really don't know how much better he would do than IT this year if at all. IT is a very good volume three point shooter. I don't know if Iverson was that kind of shooter from deep.
That Boston/New Jersey trade looked terrible when it was made, and now it looks 10x worse. Having said that, Boston has yet to get any actual value out of all these picks. Picks won't do a damn thing for you if you can't somehow turn them into good NBA players. They clearly have the tools to pull off a Harden-like trade, but until it happens they are a big question mark.
