I would just take the Celtics first rounder as the value for Battier. I didn't think so when I saw this initially today, but I don't think we would get much more.

As a huge Battier fan, I think he would fit perfectly with the Celtics and it would make me an instant Celtics fan. I'd love to see him get a chance to fight for a ring. In return, I'd love to see Perkins but don't think the C's would part with him. Young players they might part with are Erdem or Bradley, both rooks. Erdem better fits our needs, plus throw in Von for the fans. I'd accept a first rounder in any of the next 3 years.

That's one viewpoint. The other is that no contender is going to give you a starter for someone who would be a backup. And a backup is what Battier would be on any contender.
I disagree. He probably starts for Orlando, Lakers, Spurs, Mavs. He isn't worthless, just stuck on a worthless team. That said, contenders usually aren't stocked with young assets/valuable draft picks so it will be hard to find a match. As weird as it sounds.. I'd ask for the 2014 unprotected 1st rounder. I'll give BOS three years before those old legs fall off.
i dont know how u guy think. why would boston trade perkins for us? so they can get weaker? the reason they want battier cus they wanna get stronger, not have a hole at Center. theres no way boston would send davis to us, hes their only bench player (that can contribute). all i see is bradley and erden.
