I think there has been rumors of interest by houston for Gerald Wallace. I don't know if that would help free T-Will. I love his T-Wills upside.
He's actually pretty effective.. when healthy. Unfortunately, he's seemingly never healthy these days. He's only got one year left @~6.3M, and with the Rockets not expected to be players in FA via cap space next year, it might be worth a gamble. But JO would just be playing a role on a lottery team/barely playoff team. Not sure it's worth it for us or him.
a couple of first rounders in out years is intriguing, you have to think Boston is due for a drop off at some point
Who? Anyways, looked up Bradley. Dude has negative PER and has a field goal percentage of .273 Yeah, not worth trading Battier for.
I'm inclined to agree with you that those two deals (generally speaking) could be connected. Like others, I highly doubt that Boston gives up Perkins, but you never know. They have the O'neals, and they could REALLY use a guy like Battier. I just don't know how else a trade could even happen under the salary cap rules.
I would trade Battier and Brad Miller for O'Neal, Daniels, Bradley, and a 1st rounder. You clear Miller's contract from 2012-2013, you get a prospect, and a 1st rounder. Really, if I was Morey, I'd focus everything on trading for and/or signing Deron Williams or Chris Paul, and Dwight Howard too. Do whatever you can to dump salary except for Martin and Scola, and do whatever you can to acquire young talent and lotto picks.
I know right? Its impossible. Posting the breaking news on here first is like winning the lottery. But anyways, I really hope its true. Shane deserves a shot at a title. I think Shane will finally show what we can do on a contender.
Me too but lets face it we need an upgrade at the SF and C. If he can be used for that purpose then we have to look at it. But the Celtics cant offer us anything besides Perkins. Im not a fan of Erden or J'Oneal. The former being soft and the latter being injury prone.
It's halfway between absurd and insane to believe Boston would part with Perkins for Battier. There's no chance. They have to have Perkins for the playoffs.
A 6-11 center who's 24, Semih Erden http://www.thoughts.com/btownsports/semih-erden-is-the-celtics-most-pleasant-surprise-1/
Miller's contract isn't guaranteed in 2012-13 in the first place. And judging from box score stats, Bradley isn't good, and that's first rounder's useless. No dice.
