Battier would be a very good fit for Boston. The Celtics need a defensive sf to give Pierce a rest and help cover LeBron in the playoffs. I haven't seen much of the Rockets this year. How does Battier look right now? Also I see he's making about 7.35 million. Boston would have to get within 25% of that. Both teams seem to have full rosters. It would be tricky to pull this off, and might require a third team depending on what Houston wants. Unless it's something like Jermaine O'Neal to even the salary and pick(s) to entice the Rockets. There's no way Boston is trading Perkins for Battier. He's their only healthy center (just barely healthy).
I also would love to see him fighting for a ring... on my team. If you have to trade him to get something you reallly want, you do it. You don't trade him "to give him a chance of", and less as a vulgar expiring. Then no way we give Battier. Is SHANE BATTIER, one of the most winning players we have, you don't trade him almost for free unless you're trying to build a very good losing team.
I would hate seeing Battier in pukey Celtics green. I would trade him if the right deal came along, but definitely not for anything on the Celtics bench or their 29th pick.
Damn Von even your arm pits sniffin the same coke you on. Right Guard is your friend, its clear and goes on smooth lmao.
It looks like Rox would have to take back Jermaine O'Neal with yet another year left on his deal. SB deserves a ring op - - but Rox deserve something, too. And something more than a 26-30 pick.
Maybe I missed it, but so far no TWill fan rejoicing at the possibility that the Rockets management will now finally free him? I'm disappointed at clutchfans.
I might be willing to take on Jermaine O'Neal if it lands the Rockets Avery Bradley and a 1st round pick.
Perkins is, perhaps, the preeminent D 5 in the League. Dwight is a much better shot blocker and more aggressive and better on O but Perk is a Top 5 5 in the League. He ainta comin' home. He is going to remain a C. Period.
