AND HE WAS THE BEST PLAYER OVER ANYONE IN THE 2008 FINALS.

LOWRY OVER RONDO??? WOWOWOW. I'M SURE YOU'D PREFER YOUR 18 YEAR OLD COUSIN PLAYING PG FOR THE ROCKETS BECAUSE YOU LIKE HIM AS A PERSON BETTER.

Also have been told Rondo has been assured Bos has not explored dealing him. Might not be true, but that's what he allegedly has been told.

From what I've heard: Celtics might want to deal Rondo for CP3, but Hornets are not doing that deal. Have better offers if it comes to that.

Boston offered Rondo & Jeff Green to OKC for Westbrook & KPerkins after last season's playoffs. OKC was not interested, sources say.

And for inquiring minds: If Clips are offering EGordon/DeAndre Jordan and another piece (Bledsoe/Aminu/Minn's 1st), that's a better deal.

These were not just internal discussions on Rondo-Paul, FYI. Team to team talks.

In a vacuum, comparing just each player to one another... Rondo is obviously the better PG.

When you take into consideration what it would take to bring Rondo to Houston, I'd rather just keep Lowry.

    CP3 and Blake Griffin?

Over/under at least 10 alley oops per game?

But I'm still coming to grips with a player of CP3 reportedly having Clippers on his wish list. Talk about burying the lede. #PowerofBlake

I'd be jealous as hell if Boston landed Chris paul and Okafor for Rondo plus fillers. Its not like Okafor is overpaid or a scrub, I'd love to have him come home to Houston. He's a top 10 center, maybe even top 5, and Chris paul is obviously a top 3 PG. Okafor is what they need at center to replace Perkins, and CP3 is an upgrade over Rondo.

The big 3 have no trade value. Rondo does. So Rondo can be a method to upgrade the team. While the big 3 cannot be moved unless it's a downgrade in talent.

And for those saying that Clips' offer is too much: Not if it convinces Blake to be a Clipper for Life. #Soundsweirdtometoo

Don't know what they told him but that's not true RT @SportsPlusTalk Anything on Rondo being assured that BOS isn't exploring trading him?

    sam_amick Sam Amick
Absolutely RT @gmm71 @sam_amick Won't Ainge want CP to extend before pulling any type of deal?

People forget KG didn't initially want to go Boston either. Ainge knows what he's doing. If anyone can convince CP3, it's him and Doc.

Rondo is a product of the team. Time will show. I've never seen a pro basketball player miss so many open layups. If Boston had Lowry in Rondo's spot they would have made the finals last year. Once Rondo is out of Boston he will look like R. Lewis once he left Seattle... How the hell did this guy get paid so much! Classless scrub who was lucky to play with 3 HOFers that made him look like an allstar.

Rondo was most definitely not the best player in the 2008 finals, he was a rookie at the time. Paul Pierce and KG was the best players.

Rondo has great court vision and he has shown that he has the ability to score. For example, he averaged nearly a triple double against the bulls in the playoffs in 2009. How is he a classless scrub? The dude plays with heart. Diving for the ball against the magic and playing with one arm against the heat.

Paul has clearly stated his preffered choice would be NY, but NO is willing to talk trades including Paul if it involves a third party, that can be Houston. Why? Last year right before the trade deadline Boston was interested in Martin but houston was not interested in trading their most consistant scorer. This year is a diffrent story, A trade could be on the horizon that could look something like this:

    New Orleans Recieves:
    Rajon Rondo
    Jeff Green

    Boston Recieves:
    Chris Paul
    Kevin Martin
    Courtney Lee

    Houston Recieves:
    Ray Allen
    Jermain O'Neil
    Emeka Okafor

Me personally would pull the trigger on this trade, I never really liked Martin and Allen is a way better shooter and defender who could still get it done.
