With the emergance of jones id rather try to get a package of a backup center and wing for Asik then Green.

Green would basically become an expensive bench player as long as we have Parsons and Jones.

Would rather have a pissed off Asik playing just 12 minutes a night than Jeff Green being (at best) a marginal upgrade over Jones.

Green is good, but he's expensive.
Also, we're getting a steal with TJones playing like he is with the contract that he has.
Green isn't that much better and that would relegate TJones to playing on the bench.

I want to see how high Jones can fly.

Jones has been amazing, but we need a 4 that can hit the 3 consistently. I'm just at a crossroads with him tbh. Dude has been lights out but he still isn't the ideal fit for this team. Love what he's doing so far either way.

Do we seriously want to pay Green $9.5 million a season for two seasons after this one? I don't think he's worth it.

Much rather have Rondo and Bass for Asik and Lin. They fit much better on this team.

I'd like to see Jeff Green take Casspi's minutes.

Green is trash. I want the Celtics to keep him and suck for a higher pick.

Green on the Rockets would be a much better player than Green on the Celtics..

We need a paint defender and rebounder to make up for the loss of Asik. Jeff Green is like the Black Gentile version of Omri Casspi.

Could Jeff Green help us make a run for Kevin Durant? I know KD dedicated his 2012 season for Jeff Green because he was out from that serious open heart surgery.

Jeff Green off the bench would be awesome, and it would give us that stretch 4 we sorely need. Asik is still the better player in the deal, so I'd still feel like we're giving up too much, but at this rate, ANY production out of Green is better than NO production from Asik.

This is why Jeff Green will not be on the Rockets.

Morey will not give up payroll flexibility for Jeff Green.

He is most definitely not worth it. 0% chance that Daryl Morey trades for this overpaid and overrated veteran. If you were to replace Green on Boston's roster with Omri Casspi, and give Casspi the same amount of minutes, touches, shots, etc., you would get comparable production, maybe even somewhat better production. I'm not sure why so few NBA fans understand this concept. Casspi makes the veteran's minimum, which means you can get Jeff Green's production for just over $1 mil/year, which is a hell of a lot less than $9+ mil/year.

Darryl Morey is looking for VALUE. Bang for your buck. Why do so few Rockets fans understand this concept?
