The Pistons lost to the Cavs because Chauncey and Tayshaun were worse than awful. Their veterans are now a year older. It's a wild guess how the Cavs' 4 new players will fit it and help, but it isn't a stretch to say their team is more dangerous than before the trade. I don't see the Pistons coming out of the East. In the playoffs, the Celtics stifling defense, plus having superstars like KG & PP make them a tough out. Their bench is decent and having a guy like Posey is crucial. I see them beating Detroit, who gets more respect than they deserve IMO.

We almost beat them in Boston without Tmac at a time when are chemistry was lacking. I thought at the time that the Celts were a paper tiger that may get crushed by Detroit in a playoff series. I have no doubt now.

celtics aren't coming out of the east...I think the pistons and cavs can beat them in a 7 game series for multiple reasons...........

btw, the cavs would not make the playoffs in the west, the Celtics would...

Calling Boston a "Cinderella Ride" has to, easily, be one of the dumbest thread titles I have ever read. Dude the Celtics ARE NOT old. It's called a West Coast trip and slump, everybody goes through it. Even the Rockets 1997 team that started off like gangbusters (21-2) hit a slump at this point in the season.

If "coming down to Earth" means Boston being on pace to win 60 games I would take it if I were them. People are just rooting for them to fail so that they can dump on them. So here they are, on a West Coast road trip struggling (one of the losses was a last second loss) and people are already discounting them.

It's called Welcome to the West Punks!! The the NBA teams have all studied tapes of the Celtics and now know how to play them.

Celtics are not a Cinderella team. They are a very good team that performed great early, and only playing decent at the moment. They're just leveling off.

The "Cinderella team" who's ride is over is the Portland Trailblazers.

cavs have also had a lot of injuries this season.........the cavs gave the celtics problems before the trade, and I think the trade made them better...........................I definitely think the Cavs could take them in a series.......

they're hardly a cinderella- everyone and their mom picked boston to win the east and possibly the finals before the season. also, they are going through a slump- did u see how many missed shots there were last night? every other offensive play for boston ended up being called an offensive foul. i was just hoping to see KG and Amare throw it down- they were getting pretty rough with one another out there...

It was easy to see this coming, what with how hard the Big Three had been ridden down in the first half of the year. They were all in the top 10 for minutes played at something like 40-42 a game. That said, I do expect the Celtics still to be ready to contend for the title come playoff time, but their record certainly won't be as glossy as it is now.

KG talks tough but he doesn't walk it. He tries to talk to make up for his lack of physical toughness. He's a 230LB power forward who can't survive in the post.

KG is just as harmless and nonphysical as Tmac. He just talks tough and thumps his chest. He goes through that crazy man routine of screaming and acting like a lunatic. I can't believe people can't see through KG's smokescreen. He has never been a physical player. He pretends to be one on TV.

He's a wonderful all around player. Let's get something straight. He wins with finesse so any perceived toughenss that KG brings is imaginary. He got owned by Amare and Shaq and resorted to pushing to act tough. He's more cerebral and a better defender than Amare, but let's not confuse him with a POWER forward.

KG is the most talented hybrid in a world of dominant players. He doesn't dominate anything, but he does everything very well.

I actually agree you. For all the love KG gets, hes only been out of the first round once.

I think a determined Pistons team can beat the Celtics, but not the Cavs. When KG comes back to form, he'll be the monster he always is. dropping it from 18-20 ft. like it's nothing. Ben Wallace doesn't have a chance in hell to guard KG. Neither does Z. Who's going to guard Ray Allen? LeBron will be busy with Paul Pierce and Wally can't guard Ray Allen...

Cavs will have no matchups. Pistons will. That's what I think.

I noticed that too... he's a chubby bunny. I swear I could mistake him for Bonzi Wells.

I noticed that. What is funny is I have been working out again so I wasn't sure if his arms were more girlish than before or maybe, just maybe my guns were getting so ripped that everyone else looks smaller and fatter.

I guess since other people noticed Paul's disgusting physique I can now be sure that my wishful think was just that.
