Celtics #19 pick to Houston?

    We can't give them Battier without getting near salary back, nor can they send out Perkins to us without us sending salary back. The blurb said that Celtics were doing this for payroll purposes, so it sounds like they are trying to unload his salary to a team that doesn't have to match salaries, ie under the cap, ie New York...

    You're right about the dollar for dollar thing. That's why any deal sending Battier to Boston would be tricky even if Perkins came in return (Battier's salary is a bit higher than Perkins'). Might have to involve a 3rd team if it goes down. My friends says the Rockets are interested in possibly taking Tibor Pleiss, so that could be a reason to trade down.
