You must be the stupidest people in the world if you give away Battier for #19 pick. Why are people hating Battier?? The guy is the most TOP NOTCH defensive player in the league and was a starter for most part until last year. He was and still an awesome player.

We need him to guard someone like Kobe and Lebron. He is extremely valuable for this team. Why are you so obsess with draft picks?? Especially that low of a pick...this is just dumb. I am probably talking to little kids ....i dunno. I thought Rockets fans are smarter than this.

If it's coming from a Brooks fan, must be a sincere suggestion.

Anyways, so Celtics are now looking for somebody who can stop Kobe huh? That's nice.

I like the idea cuz Battier can help them greatly.

Looks like the Celtics are trying to make a package involving Perkins and the 19th pick.

No mention of the Rockets. And I'm not sure how credible the source is but I saw it on another hoops forum and thought it was worth posting.

Sure if the deal was Brooks and the 14th pick for Rondo and the 19th pick this would be a great trade.

Thanks for posting it, sounds like a good deal, we are not going to get much help at 14 that we couldn't get at 19...and if we pick up extra assets then great.

Perkins for backup center next season?

And we grab a wing at #19?

Give away filler + 14 for Perkins and 19?

Yeah Perkins and the 19th pick would be great. I would give up the 14th pick for Perkins and the 19th pick.

Looks like they're trying to dump Perkins and 19th pick. I'd consider it. Obviously Perkins is going to have surgery; will he be ready? Someone said he may not be. Ehh who knows.

I would do it for a vet and some future picks. No more. Having 14 and 19 is alot more appealing than just trading picks. 14 and 19 can become Whiteside and Alabi.

That is interesting, but it might be too much for an injured player.....maybe if there were extra picks it would be worth it.

If you could get a future first round pick like in 3 years or so when the Celts are gonna suck, then Morey will be a genius.

Hell no. Perkins and the 19th for Ariza and the 14th. They would be getting the better player and the better pick and giving us the injured player. Take that somewhere else and smoke it.

Rondo is gonna be their franchise player, and they aren't trading him. so keep on dreaming.

Those two things seem to contradict each other, but they don't: they would like to trade the #19 for a vet, or they would like to trade #19 and Perkins to move up. It means they don't see anything they want at #19.

If they're trading the pick for vets, seeing that they're over the cap, they're probably S&T'ing one of their FAs. The #19 pick is there as sweetener, to bring back more than the vet they're sending. For instance, they S&T Nate Robinson to us for Battier.
