note: Garnett had to change his number when he became a Celtic, because #21 was Bill Sharmans'. Would he be the first player to have two numbers retired?

    not sure if serious.

but anyhow, Drexler's was retired partly because of his Houston roots and Phi Slamma Jamma.

I know why Drexler's number was retired for only 3.5 years with the Rockets, but it still ridiculous.

Didn't they cut off their history with Seattle?

    Shouldn't he retire first?

    Nope.

We retired Moses' #24 and Philly retired his #2. Mo wasn't officially retired by 6ers but it is not allowed for any player to wear.

Also NJ retired Dr. J's #32 and Philly retired his #6.

Oscar with #1 with the Bucks and #14 with the Kings.

Earl Monroe was retired with #15 for the Knicks and #10 for the Wizards/Bullets

You know what would be even more funny, if they retired his number but he kept on playing for them.

    That would be unheard of.

The celtics have already retired 21 numbers, pretty soon there won't be any numbers left.

If LA Lakers had any Minny Laker players' number retired, or any other franchise that moved has done the same thing, OKC should look into retiring Ray Allen's number...but, he was only there for 3.5 seasons.

Well, all of their records and acheivements were reset when they moved to OKC, and Gary Payton's number isn't retired. I doubt they retire Allen's, especially since he was only there for 3 seasons.

The Minny numbers are hanging and "honored" in LA but they are not retired (for example one of those numbers was #34 which they allowed Shaq to wear).

Oddly enough though, the Kings still have #s retired from Cincy and Rochester.

Though Pistol Pete's # is hanging in Utah and New Orleans even though he played for the New Orleans Jazz.
