Cell Phones in Houston not working?

I'm in CS with a 713 number. I had to try about 25 times to get through to my folks. Almost went up to work to use one of their land lines before I finally got through.

 

if you dont have acces to a landline, but do have acces to wireless internet, use voipbuster...

free calls to us residents.

 

Hell yea, ppl. Get off your phones! I need to call Dominoe's ASAP.

 

I have T-Mobile and so does my mom and we were getting spotting service...Although other friends of mine have different carriers and its teh same...The lines are just jammed packed and I'm in Dallas, but with a 281 number, so I'm not sure that matters...

 

Nextel had lots of problems yesterday ...i couldnt make any calls

 

Yeah, I'm on Verizon and if I try and call anyone in the 713, it just doesn't happen. I knew it was 'cause of the hurricane. Kinda reassuring to know I'm not the only one getting crap service.

 

I'm in philly with a 713 number, I don't know if people can call me, but I can't call any cell phones in 713/281/832 territory, but I can call land lines in Houston w/ my Verizon cell just fine.

 

I finally was able to get a phone call through. First time in 24hrs.
