Didn't know this. If Ariana left me for Pete freaking Davidson I would probably OD too. Think i'm safe on that tho.

I'm not really a fan of that logic, it puts undeserved guilt on completely innocent parties. Even if she was bat **** insane, cheat on him, left him, and told him she wished he would die - his addiction killed him. Simple as that, sad as it is.

His last interview and greatly written article, really good and seemed he had the right views on a lot of things regarding fame and reputation. Guess drugs and depression won out in the end, seemed like a good dude. :(

Very sad to see someone so young dying.

Hope it wasn't in vain. God bless his family.

    RIP

I'm a big Prince fan and I know how overdoes can take talent away from the World too soon. However, at least with Prince....we have SO MUCH music that was released and yet to be released. I saw him in Concert 7 times too.

However, when young talent leaves...we miss out.

I found Mac Miller during this last pandemic year. I grew up in 80s. College in the Early to mid 90s. A Tribe Called Called Quest's Peoples Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm is my favorite Rap Album of all-time, Eric B and Rakim's "I Know You Got Soul" is the funkiest Hip Hop Record of all-time. I've been trying to listen to some of the newer rap releases from newer Artist. It is HARD, they are so bad (terrible). Beside Drake, Travis Scott is sort of growing on me (I LOVE Antidote) and I love Chance The Rapper's "Coloring Book". Otherwise, there are so many cookie-cutter, terrible rappers using the same formulas.

I first heard Mac Miller thru one of his songs with Ariana Grande. Later, I finally listen to his full albums. The guy was talented, sounded different and it is sad he wasn't able to continue to grow as a musician/rapper.

    I love this song:
