Kenny Rogers was born in Houston in 1938 according to allmusic guide. I think it is highly unlikely he worked at astroworld. He may have performed a concert there or something, but he almost certainly didn't work there during the day and then play music gigs at night. Astroworld didn't open until 1968. Kenny would have been 30 years old when Astroworld opened. By 1968 Kenny had already had some success in the music world as a member of the New Christy Minstrels and also as a member of the First Edition. So, I find it highly unlikely he was working with a bunch of teenagers during the day at Astroworld. Of course, I suppose Kenny could have been in that Marvale McFey costume.

I don't know where her original home is, but Cynthia Cooper gets her nails done at the same place my mom and I do out here in Sugar Land. My mom actually ran into her a few weeks ago! A couple of Olympians from Sugar Land are Tara Lipinski and that guy who won the gold in Tae Kwon Do. My brother will be the next Olymipian from the area...Missouri City actually. Hopefully we'll see him around 2006 or 2008 in Tae Kwon Do!
