Huh?! Ruben Patterson? Man, if this guy is cut by Portland, GET HIM IN A ROCKETS UNI NOW!!!!

Man, that guy is a poorman's Artest on the court. I absolutely love his toughness, his tenaciousness, and his rebounding/defense on the court. If we get Ruben Patterson, we would have our own version of Bruce Bowen, only better!

BTW, am I the only one who is psyched about Head? I REALLY think this guy will be not only productive, but a good person who will buy into JVG's team concept and will perfectly fit in. I do think he WILL get minutes next season on the court, and I think Mike James will get less minutes. Moreover, Sura will probably play a lot more SG than he has in the past.

Anyways, all I am saying is Luther Head will be a good pickup by the Rockets, he really fits the backcourt player type that we are looking for: speedy, low TO, and a team guy. All this really tells me is that the Rockets are going to make a big PF acquisition from free agency, which I think was the right way to go, because we need more immediate help at the PF than we do in the backcourt, which means we could afford having a young inexperienced guard to develop the next couple of seasons, while we can't really wait for help at the PF position.

So again, this makes a lot of sense. Still, my biggest wish for this free agency is to have another swingman to play along T-Mac (namely Ruben Patterson), who can give T-Mac a breather every once in a while AND, most importantly, play alongside T-Mac on the court at the same time whenever we need more size in the backcourt to matchup with the likes of Dallas.

Am I making sense to you people? Tell CD to call me, I gots some ideas ;)

The CD comment I heard on Fox Sports Radio with Van Earl Wright was the Luther Head was the best perimeter defender in the draft.

I'm getting more and more comfortable with the pick. I was pretty dissappointed at first, but realized that if the pick doesn't play good enough defense, they aren't going to play at all.

As far as the undrafted players, I would like to bring in Winston for a look. A true SG that has a pretty good shot. Also, maybe we could give Morris a look for a replacement for Deke.
