WHOA. HOLY CRAP, it's working now. a bit jerky at times, but it is working. I am not entirely sure what it is that I did to make it work, but I did a few things, so here they are: Allowed ports above 20,000 for TCP and UDP on my firewall. Turned off my bittorrent rule on the firewall (just directed traffic for 6881 to a specific host). And then I just watched the logs on my firewall and tried it again and there it went. I'll look into what the exact cause was after the game is over, but I suspect that it was either blocking the correct port, or it was forwarding that traffic to port 6881, and the app didn't know what to do with it.
The choppiness has subsided after I set the network buffering to 60 seconds. Check my link above ds888, that should be the version you're looking for.
Thanks for posting it. Unfortunately this one doesn't work for me either. I can't seem to get more than two listings under the channel list. Argh!

Is there any way you can speed up the connection, buffer rate, or kb speed? Mine was perfect in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, but now it has suddenly gone extremely choppy and slow since the 4th started.
So now I just wait for the media player to pop-up, right? The play list shows some action happening, but the buffering percentage doesn't go above 30%? Is that right?
Yeah, the media player should pop up by itself after you select CTTV-5 as the channel. Good luck! Edit: I don't know if the buffering is suppose to be stuck at 30%. I think it is suppose to go up. The CCTV(800) channel takes longer to buffer than the regular CCTV channel, since the quality is higher.
Thanks again for your help. The station still hasn't come up, and everything is at 0 for some reason now. But since the game is almost over, I'm giving up for tonight. At least I got the channel list to show up!

The quality is really good (so far). This is what I had to do to make it work. 1. Uninstall older version of PPlive. 2. Install the newest version. 3. After install, a program window pops up, on the right side column, there is a list of "?????" Within that list, there are at least 3 CCTV 5 entries. I used the 800K one. Hopefully this will work for others next time.
well i got it working with 40 seconds left in the game -_-, oh well atleast it should work for next time. the key was downloading 1.0.9.6 and not 1.0.9.5
