Sounds good to me. I love Monta's game and I think he'd fit much better here than in Boston. We could also offer better pieces than Ray Allen like the package you mentioned. I'd trade anybody on our team if it meant getting Monta in return.
Their GM stated a week ago that they wanted to shake things up and be big players for this trading deadline. They see the writing on the wall man. The whole organization is crap. They have made some really bad decisions overall. I wouldn't doubt David Stern had a talk with them sometime last year when the whole Stephen Jackson situation blew up. The Warriors have two contracts they need to get rid of. The Warriors are looking to move Maggette and Ellis. If they can get this done, they will bring their cap space from $53 Mil down to $33 Mil. Curry is their future along with Randolp, Morrow, and Biedrins. That's not a bad start. Not only that, they are going to get a nice draft pick this year.
All valid points. They could have a fresh start if they get rid of those contracts, Have some money to spend too. Then imo really need to get rid of Nellie, I think he has completely lost his mind as a coach
It's going to happen. I think if they trade both of those contracts... Look for them to let him go during the offseason. Nellie struggled with everything that happened during that 07 season. Believe it or not... I think Baron Davis leaving really hurt that team. I think if Nellie passes up Mr. Wilkens in all time wins this year, he'll retire.
Right on. Ellis is an elite scorer, and would take the pressure off Yao when guys like Joel Pryzbilla front him and take him out of the game. Living out here in SF, I have the crappy privilege of watching the Warriors, and he's about the only bright spot on that team. If we can land him by throwing Golden State one of our forwards and a spare part, we should do it.
