Looks pretty similar. Not that I'm arguing anything, just pointing it out. I don't see how it is a great improvement or anything. It's just a slight revision.
yeah, Celtics, Lakers and Knicks will probably never make drastic changes. But I agree with others, for the Knicks it's a noticeable change versus stuff the Lakers and Celtics do. They seem to go back and forth between the orange numbers and the reddish ones.
Yeah, the Celtics, Lakers, and Knicks all have a branded iconic "look" to their jerseys that no business person would tell you to tamper with. Its like McDonalds all the sudden deciding to do away with the golden arches even as ugly as they might be. -With regards to the Rockets and their jersey situation - doing away with the classic ketchup and mustard look of the championship years was the ultimate sin the product branding. With another ten years or so the Rockets could have been in that mix of teams with an iconic look that few NBA franchises truely have. Its a shame. That being said, they should still try to bring it back in some, way, shape, or form. It might not be too late to give it a try. Its not going to help your team win championships, but there is something to be said about having an iconic branded look that everyone in the world can identify with. Now with Jeremy Lin bringing back some global attention, it might not be a bad time to re-establish that classic Rockets look, and see if you can somehow merry the new with the old to create some sort of familiar look to the organization that people of all ages can identify with. Anyways, my little rant there.... The Knicks new jerseys look very similar to me, but the changes are positive. I think the font is a little more classic and timeless than what they had last year.
These new uniforms look a lot better than what they were wearing from 96-2011. First the black trim is finally gone, I have no idea why they inserted black to their jersey's. And I love the wife beater type collars from the 80's and 90's. Simple and classic. Good job NY
I actually like the old ones better the news ones are kinda plain and why does the stripes on the side stop halfway?
Horrible. I loved their old uniforms. It had a retro feel to it. The new one looks understated - pussified.
