Grizz get 2000/2001 playoff MVP Finley. Mavs get, the poor shooting Stackhouse as well as rebounder Ben Wallace as well as a first round pick. likely Celtics
Hawks trade the whole team...ok, really: JJ Kmart Turk Wesley CriscoNets trade: Tracy McGrady Hope these players help a real team, instead of wasting away on mine.
Who got raped? I can't decide I can understand why this trade did go down - Crisco needed depth although he hasnt admitted it so far, Rimmy has been wanting a star on his team forever, and now he got one. I guess that sums up the trade - I don't think this is a bad trade, and certainly not the worst ever in this sim.
Jim Jackson(6-6, 220)-- 17 pts, 4.7 reb, 2.8 asst, 34 min Kenyon Martin(6-9, 230)-- 14 pts, 8.2 reb, 34 min Hidayet Turkoglu(6-8, 220)-- 6.5 pts, 1.3 reb, 13 min David Wesley(6-1, 211)-- 14 pts, 6 asst, 2.8 reb, 34 min FOR T-MAC 18.3 Pts, 6.8 Rebs, 2.8 Ast, 1.9 Blk any way you paint it it was a terrible trade. wesley is the exact same minus 4 pts kenyon rebs way more cackson is just 2 rebs shy turk was just a throw in so so what, but SCREWED is the only word. im sorry dude. but its just how i feel
Let me paint you another picture - the picture of rimmys brighter future. Rimmy traded for the future, a building block in McGrady who is twice the player of any other of his prior building blocks. You can say that McGrady didnt do much better than Jackson or Martin, but you would IMO be wrong. McGrady put up those stats on a much better team sharing the ball with 2 other stars in Jamison and Marbury, and also up and coming center La Frentz. In addition he also had to bear playing on the same team as Scottie Pippen. McGrady on Rimmy's team will be the man - and will get way better numbers than any of the players departured. You can say rimmy put up much to get McGrady, losing 4 players - 3 of them starters. If we subtract Hido from the deal as a throw in (rimmy had 17 players anyway, its not like one of them cant semi take on Hido's role) you have 3 starters/semi-good starters for 1 star. Let me remind you that one those starters was earlier this season sitting on Jazz' IR. Ok - 3 starters for 1. And it's not like rimmy was going to compete this season anyway. Lets se who replaces them: David Wesley: Well losing his pointguard will hurt but in comes rookie Jeryl Sasser to get the minutes he needs to improve in the sim for a later season when the team is better. Jim Jackson (and Turk): In comes McGrady, and rookie Damone Brown moves into second string to get more PT. Brown actually getting good numbers. So Hawks is already better at SF. Kenyon Martin: This is where rimmy pays for getting his star. And he had to pay something. The PF position was solved with giving one of the two fighting for the C spot the starting PF duty while the other got to play center. (C-Kandi, PF-Battie) At the moment you could argue that Hawks are a bit worse of, but I would say they will be better for the future. They also kept their draftpicks, picks that I guess you agree will be high in the lottery to improve for the coming seasons. I could also argue for crisco position in this deal, but I guess I will not have to convince you that he got deeper - a depth he surely needed - as his current team (a team you predicted to win the atlantic) was struggling around .500.
sorry heath, i guess i didnt get the memo. or maybe ytou didnt. there are no fans in the sim league. there fore there are no stars. t-mac is a star for the way he excites people in orlando, and in toronto before that. his presence does not put asses in the seat, he is in even up and coming. he is a bunch of code that equals 18/6, or whatever. in your evaluation you said that the Pg gets worse. somehow a rookie sim PG is now gonna grow into this spot, he will leard, develope for the future. he will learn to rn the team. im sure. no matter how you wanna spin it, he got worse at PG. then you say that SG, and SF gets better or stay about the same, woo hoo! next you say how at PF he pays the price. so now you have 2 backup centers starting. so he got worse (obviously) in 3 positions. he also improves slightly(4ppg) at one position, and stays same on another. but now ofcource, whatever bench he did have is now starting, and he is weak in the pine. nothing good on this one. nothing. oh unless you count the ticket sales for T-mac peace and always smile
I am not here to argue any of your issues with the trade...I don't care, just wanted to point out that it is only 2 positions where I got worse. C: Kandi - Kandi = PF: Martin - Battie - SF: Jackson - McGrady + SG: Alexander - Alexander = PG: Wesley - Sasser (or Billups when he gets back) -
Your math does not add up VOR Rimmy get's weaker on the pine - of course you are right there, but this is minor, in fact after trading 4 for 1 - Hawks still are forced to leave 2 players rotting on the IR. His bench was never that much to shout about - almost all of his lesser players could be said to keep very simular level. Fact: Now he has 2 players producing zip on the IR over 5 earlier. Wesley - ouch he lost Wesley the franchise PG - Oh wait he was the starting PG getting only 6 asst a game - I think Sasser getting 3 of the bench can distribute the ball as well. Sasser also gets 6 pts of the bench so he should be able to get around 11 starting. And he is a rookie - the game have proved earlier that rookies getting time can improve quick (Dooling) SG rotation - the same. Jackson/Turkoglu vs McGrady: Sorry to informe you but McGrady will improve this spot a great deal. You say he is not a star because this is only a game and a stat= a stat. Then I can tell you that a stat in one sim team does not equal a stat on another simteam. If you want proof - check out Carter's stats before an after being traded to Cavs. Expect McGrady's numbers do increase some in all categories. Martin - This is where he pays for all the improvement in getting McGrady, but Battie will be able to do a his job. Infact he has a ring. Did even put up 14/10 in 16 mins in one of the finals. C rotation - the same minus Battie. The bench takes a minor hit here, but during the season Battie have been used all from a starter to a 3rd string center because the level of the players were so simular. There is no use in having 17 players performing the same when you can only use 12 of them and only 5 get big minutes. Of course not all of them were the same, but when you got out of the top few there wasnt much separating the 17th player from a 2nd string job. Rimmy will probably be worse of this season (but I do not think by much - but the record will show) - but this was a move for the future. And his future just got brighter.
A HUGE BLOCKBUSTER TO SHAKE UP TWO TEAMS Heat get: Chris Webber, Peja Stoy, Marc Jackson and Ruben Patterson Kings get: Antonio Mcdyess, Shawn Bradley, Alan Houston and Heat 2nd rounder heat confirm
crisco, i got fed up with not being able to break 500, in hindsight i shoulduve done our blockbuster but i wanted to wait it out
no prob dvau. I just had interest in Webber. If i had known he was available i probably would have made a better offer than what you traded him for.
well if you hadnt traded mcgrady to rimmy i wouldve prob asked if we couldve revisited that email but drew came to me with this deal i just felt like it helped me overall
in all honesty, he wasnt available i was just talking about a minor bradley for jackson swap and he threw this at me it just happened really
What the **** is going on? I'm gone for a few days... Dream's gone, this bbs is totally hurting my eyes and hard to read, and everyone in here is making these weird ass trades...
