Thanks, that was a lot of info. I will try to work that in your page soon. But I think your overall record is wrong, because when you take away the playoff games that only leaves 72 games for the season. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
For all of you Midwest teams, don't feel obligated to do what the Dean did... ------------------ Saturday, Donny, is shabbas, the Jewish day of rest. That means I don't work, I don't drive a car, I don't f***** ride in a car, I don't handle money, I don't turn on the oven, and I sure as s*** don't f****** roll!
btw I have done the standings page and is trying to get a newsstory/template up, so I have not been concentrating to much on doing the pages for the Atlantic, but I will get there. And first in line now is Wizards as submitted this wonderful material. But I'm with BGM on this one. No need to go overboard with the info. All this info for Wizards could keep me occupied until next season. Just kidding - I can update this as the season go along. I will get it done between stat updates when the season is on. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
Heath, I appreciate the work you've done for the webpages and all. If you want, I'll help you write up stuff for the Atlantic pages for mine and others, like the history and stuff. I just have one request. Can I please have pictures of my players asap? I'm tired of Puedlfor's team mocking me with his superior frontline. Also, Eric Williams is scaring me. ------------------ snap crackle pop
Yes I can do them asap if you help me out. Check what I wrote in the Homepage thread about pictures and answer me in this thread. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
I have no clue who Anthony Davis is, but here's a pic of Antonio Davis... ------------------ Saturday, Donny, is shabbas, the Jewish day of rest. Crsico, didnt address this yesterday, but you helping out with the Atlantic would be really appreciated. btw I'm in the process of updating your teampage along with dbc's. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
Heath, I'll work on some of the article sections and post it here so you can cut and paste to the team pages. Which teams do you need written stuff for? ------------------ snap crackle pop
DBC - you had 4 picks in the first season and 5 players "lost": D. Vanterpool, M. Smith, P. Jones, L. Vaught and L. Profit. What I wonder is was one of these players included in the drafpicks/Bobby Jackson trade, or did you just cut a player. Which player was not released as a part of the 4 players picked? ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
Crisco: If you check Sixers page you will see how my "finished" page looks like. I hace also done Celtics (as this is the original template) and are doing Wizards just now. I will also do your pictures now. That leaves: Nets (rest of your page) ... What the heck thats about it as Johny does the Knicks page himself and the other two teams are computer teams. We could perhaps do some more work on the computer teams (Heat and Magic) to make it easier for potensial new GMs to decide if they want to take on the challenge, but we should consentrate most on the teams that do have a GM. You could also write articles about the atlantic teams, I have an exampleof what I have written to put behind the "Brotherly Love" link on the frontpage (It is not uploaded yet): The City of Brotherly Love Welcomes New Players Offseason acqusitions shine as preseason starts By David Aldrige Philadelphia, May 8 -- Ater an early exit from last years playoffs, and the bundles of disturbing trades that upset the fans, critics had voiced their displeasure with Sixers management. What most of them pointed out was, that even if 76ers had problems living up to their potential this could be fixed with minor adjustments to the roster. Sixers GM Heath unloaded The Answer and the ever important Mutumbo and was left with a lot of questions. But you do not trade away your two best players and get nothing in return. Granted that 76ers will recieve a good portion of the payment for these trades later, but they also recieved something that last seasons Sixers only saw facing them from time to time. Top notch point players. Gary Payton came in the deal that saw Mutumbo part with the team, and that was also kind of a surprise as Mike Bibby was the major player in the Iverson deal. That could leave upcoming Steve Nash the odd man out. Bibby and Payton was not the only new players in Sixers uniforms as the preseason started. Stromile Swift is an exciting young player that aspires for a starters position at power forward. Marcus Camby was selected with the overall second pick in the draft to play center after the departure of Mutumbo, but he can also play forward as Hakeem Olajuwon also found his way to Philadelphia in the draft (overall #19). Other newcomers to the Sixers roster are Ruben Patterson and Tony Battie. With all these changes to the roster Heath opted to bring them into the team slowly as Payton and Olajuwon did not play in the first game. But as the other newcomers put on a show with good performances the spirit entered 76ers fans as they welcomed their new heroes, and when Payton suited up for game two he all but made them forget about The Answer and Mutumbo as he showed the fans the point play they have been missing. We do not need this long articles but I was in the writing mood yesterday Also you can write whatever article you want, it does not have to be to get the article-links on the frontpage "right" - we just change the links to reflect the article written. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo [This message has been edited by Heath2000 (edited May 09, 2001).]
here's what I have so far for the Nets-- Losses Kenyon Martin Chris Mihm Tim Hardaway Rookie pick Acquisitions Antonio Davis Scottie Pippen Brian Grant Larry Hughes General GB Rockets assembled a good nucleus that later faltered in the playoffs once he abandoned the team. CriscoKidd bought the franchise and made wholesale changes, shipping out valuable 6th man Tim Hardaway, the not-so-productive Kenyon Martin, and “the softie” Chris Mihm. To add some defense to the line-up he brought in Davis, Pippen, and Brian Grant. Hughes may also prove to be a valuable addition as a scoring threat off the bench. The core of Van Horn, Sprewell, and Marbury are expected to play with a renewed sense of urgency, as the new GM has let it be known that their stay in New Jersey depends upon their success on the court. Barring a major collapse, this team should be able to make it deep into the playoffs. Vj23k: This was already a talented team even though the previous GM didn't really see how it was doing. Now with Crisco at the reigns, and some excellent draft picks, this team will contend for the title. Others: Predictions land Nets relatively high in the East, finishing as a 4th, 2nd or 3rd seed. One GM even predicted Marbury to win the MVP. ------------------ snap crackle pop [This message has been edited by CriscoKidd (edited May 09, 2001).]
