CC.net Gets Props on Breaking Rudy T. Story

    I'm trying to keep your back covered:

    After the news anchors congratulated Mark Berman on "breaking the story on Rudy T", I called the Assignnment Desk and told the Editor to "Stop the lie about Berman breaking the story!"

    I said that local fan forum CC.net was the REAL source of the story and that I would appreciate it if he would not only tell Berman that we know it's a lie, but also ask him to give credit where it's due...:mad: ;) :mad:

    Fox SW Sports Report just said they have an interview coming up with the person that broke the story on Rudy.

    I will be pissed if its Mark Berman.

    Jeff - Thanks for clarifying re: Clutch..

    On the other point: No, I had no illusions/delusions about Fox giving proper credit. I just wanted them to know that at least some of us know how full of Sh*t they really are!!

    (An amusing sidenote is that I'm a non-profit board with one of the anchors...)

    If it is Berman, then I suggest all of us email them and let them know who really broke the story and who Berman stole his information from.

    mental note: not everything which seems funny to a drunk person seems funny to a sober one. For example; no one else in the room laughed at the fact that one of the blinds was slanted a different way than the rest...

    im furious with fox network pimpin clutch's breakout! imagine what clutch feels like? mayn, i feel like berman is a thief and should be exposed to the fraud that he is!

    So did the Rockets decide to announce Rudy stepping early because of Doc Rockets post or because Cleveland hit the Lebron James sweepstakes? 610 said that the Rockets wanted to announce Rudy stepping down after the holidays but the story leaked out early. I have a feeling it really is about Cleveland winning the lottery.

    WTF .........Fox Sports SW says they are going to have an interview with the person that broke the story on Rudy and the only people they interviewed were Kenny Smith and Eddie freakin Sefko (who hasn't covered the team in several years)???!!??

    Ya know, American Idol was almost enough to push me over the top, but this takes the cake. No more Fox!!

    except for Astros Games ...but thats it!!!

    Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Doc Rivers, point guard, Kenny Smith, point guard. All point guards should go by the name Doc, Kenny Smith is Doc Rocket!!!!!!!!!!

    Okay, but maybe Sefko is, He has contacts from when he was on the Rockets beat. He posts here because he doesn't cover the Rockets, so he can't scoop the current beat guy.

    Sefko covers the Mavs now. Seemed like a nice guy, but definitely wasn't meant for tv. :)

    I'm all about new information... but does the board really want to be known for information that hot.. I mean.. does something this rare.. and the potential exposure perhaps lessen the chance of it happening in future? Do the leaks get gunshy?

    I was looking for the Doc Rocket thread as I had posted in it, and than realized it was gone...I knew then....

    It felt good to know before everyone else.

    oh my dear god. you're driving me crazy. you ALWAYS say then instead of than, but since so many people do it, i could almost understand (hell even comic strips in newspapers do it now), but now doing than for then? please, just once, for your pal f4p, use the right word in the right situation.

    then for timing issues
    than for comparing stuff
