Considering we are playing at 11 am, we shouldn't have to worry about the cops telling us we are there too late. Who is going to make it? I'm 50/50 as of now since I think I'm starting to come down with something nasty. Knowing me, I'll be out there if I can walk though. I just don't want to show up and get anyone else sick. B

Okay guys, I am a no for tomorrow. I have an upper respiratory infection and a fever. I don't think basketball on a cool windy day will do much to help me get better. Sorry for wussing out, but I am probably going to leave work early too because of this. I hope there is still a large turnout tomorrow! Plus we still have the 28th to look forward to! B

I will still be able to make it tomorrow, but not till I get out of work which is around 1. I am currently at work right now so I won't be able to check the courts out till around 8 tonight, so sorry I can't scout it till later. I'll be watching the 2nd half of the game from a friend's place so I'll swing by the courts before then. By the way, what time is everyone heading out there? Do those courts normally get packed? We should have a way to let each other know who is there from Clutchcity.
I got to play a lot last week and I'm by far one of the worst players you'll run across. Go out and have a good time! B
Okay, I checked out the park this afternoon/noon time. It took me a while to find the park because the park is down in the bayou. There was nobody playing in it, except for two scrubby looking guys who look like they were groping each other with the basketballs. The court looks pretty good. It is a covered pavillion. It has four goals I think. It has a long full court, and then it has side baskets on either sides. I actually thought it was a very nice park. I got there by going east on Memorial, and exiting Heights north. If you look to the right, there should be a sign that says City of Houston Parks and Spotts Park on the same sign. Like a poster said earlier, park at the YWCA parking lot. You better be able to be in good shape, because you have to walk down the steps to get to the park. It is about 30 steps, I am guessing. If you don't want to walk the steps, I think the best thing to do is roll down on the hill. I am still in tommorow. I don't want to be the only one that doesn't show up tommorow. I am pissed and bitter that I didn't play last week.
I couldn't see from the road, but from what I saw, they had nets. I might go check it out again later tonight. If they don't have nets, maybe I'll buy some, and then when we are through playing, we can take them down, or the winners can cut them down.
anybody gonna show up at 11 am, 12 pm, 1? something like that? I don't want to be the only chump out there.
Sorry for the late report, by the way thanks for your report Kam, but I did drive by the court. I'm a night person and do things for clubs in downtown so my take wasn't too good. The court did look nice even though it was dark and if you don't like to play the full-full court then it's good b/c they have the shortened version (side to side). If you don't know where it is exactly on Memorial, it's on the west bound side of it. If you don't see it, drive around the loops and you'll be bound to see it. Anyway, I don't get out of work till around 1:15 then I need to go home to pick up my brother then I'll head out. I'm guessing I'll be there around 2? I hope some of you guys are still there at that time. If not, I'll be there with some people. To find me, just look for a stocky and bald Filipino guy!
I might be there if at 11:15 with another person if I could actually get some solid directions from the Compaq Center. Should I take I-45 and exit somewhere Northeast of downtown?
I probably can't make it til later, about 1 or 2, because I am taking my mother to the grocery store. FUN.
I have some friends that would like some competition, but I am not exactly sure where this park is. And I don't think I can make it on the 28th, I might be going out with my family somewhere to enjoy the holidays. Well maybe i'll play you guys some other time. Have Fun
