http://nba-facts-and-rumors.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22748484/26598535 I still think Adelman could control him, and we should trade for him immediately if the opportunity presents itself.
He wasn't too soft for Artest. Besides as the writer of this article alluded to, Westpahl is going too hard on him.
He was just trying to be funny. He made a choking motion at a missed free throw for the opponent. I thought the story was about him doing something dumb like choking a coach.
cousins just needs to go through this right now. he'll learn from it. he needs to be humbled by this experience. he'll learn that nothing will be given to him: he needs to earn it. hopefully he'll be better after this. i don't like when players throw away their careers, esp. talented ones like him.
As someone who's never had much regard for Paul Westphal as a coach, I have no problem with what he did here. The problem is consistency. True or untrue, there is a perception that he lets Reke get away with anything and everything (on the court). So any discipline he puts on another player makes him look bad. Westphal lost the ability to discipline Reke last season when he gave the guy a blank check. Having a golden boy on the team next to Cousins makes his job tougher than necessary. Regarding Cousins, I've had my doubts from the beginning. Not sure he can handle the NBA lifestyle. This won't be the last very stupid thing he does.
According to the NBA trade machine- A Chuck Hayes and Patrick Patterson for DeMarcus Cousins trade would result in 3 less wins for the Rockets, but 4 more wins for the Kings. I'd be down for the trade in a heartbeat though.
