pretty good other than i don't think allen is as good as either marbury or francis. yao is high for now but going into the season we somewhat expect that kind of impact from him.
yeah, Where is Cat. and V.Divac is rated too high. I think the first half of the list is pretty accurate. But the second half, as it is very difficult to rank players, is off just a bit...
It's not too bad but certainly can be better. I thought both Yao and Ray Allan were too high. Oh and btw, how did Antoine Walker make it to 26 any ways (ahead of KMart and Ben Wallace at that)?
He's easily in the top 2 greatest power forwards ever. You wouldn't understand because you were probably in diapers when Karl was in his prime DOMINATING.
At 1st i agreed with yall that Yao was rated too high. But then again, how many players on that list were getting tripled teamed in their rookie season?
I'm going to start out by admitting the bulk of Kevin McHale's career was over before I became a basketball fan. I was just too young, and even then, I was really only a Rockets fans for many years as when you're 8 or 9 years old and don't play basketball you're definitely not going to follow every team. But Kevin McHale was never even the first option on his team was he? I've never heard anybody say he was the type of player that was capable of leading a team to the Finals. Malone did. I really have a hard time believing that Kevin McHale was a better power forward than Karl Malone.
Not counting age, I saw maybe two players that Cat might be ahead of. Its funny how some people on this board think he is only slightly less talented than Francis. Also, the player who I really think is ranked too low is Ben Wallace, although its hard to argue a player can be top 20 when he provides no offense.
lol...I think Cat is better than Vlade Divac at least! Not even an honorable mention?!? Mobley is much better than Richard Jefferson..
MacBeth, Anyone who says anything positive about Karl Malone will immediately turn off 95% of the posters on this board. You should know this by now.
on this board? i actually like the rankings. steve is in his 12-14 slot i always say he's in. yao may not be at 17 right now, but he could certainly earn it by season's end. i would tend to say allen is too high but he did put up 25/5/5 after the trade which is damn impressive. cat should be on the list i feel, or at the very least honorable mention. unless allan houston plays a lot of D i've been missing. apparently kahn had a tex winter like moment and forgot to put bremer squarely at number 13 where he belongs. well, there ya go. duncan will surpass malone with another good few years (like thegary said just barring a career ending or grant hill like injury). unless of course you count duncan as a C like some do. actually, where is lebron? yao and amare are top 50 in their 2nd years and lebron is supposed to be the greatest of the greatest for high schoolers and hasn't really disappointed up to this point. could've at least been honorable mention. but overall, nicely done, though the payton francis switch was kinda weird, but probably deserved since payton will be coattail riding this year.
Karl Malone was part of the dirty duo of Malone and Stockton, both great players who played dirty and got away with it most of the time.
Because no one cares about *other* players. It's all about perspective. It's expected, though (Rox BBS). Just take it with a grain of salt...
Question: why didn't Kahn put andre miller at least as an honorable mention. DavidS's answer: because this bbs is biased towards the rockets. did the record get stuck again?
