Maybe, it depends upon what you get for them....anyone....KMart and Luis would be the most coveted, IMO.

Trade AB, trade Kyle, trade hayes, trade Yao.

Anyone, as long as it is stockpiling young players or draft picks.

I haven't really been keeping up with your recent posts DaDakota but is it safe to assume you have given up on the season?

Seems a bit early dontcha think.

That said, is there a upcoming (insert legendary player here) in the college ranks that might be worth pulling a 97' San Antonio for then I'm ready to bet the farm. So to speak.

Welcome to the darkside, amigo. I'm glad we can agree: it's time to rebuild.

It is time to rebuild, for sure. Our best case scenario with Yao was that he stays healthy and we go deep into the playoffs, now with Yao gone our best case scenario with our current squad is winning a playoff series.

I would not give up, but I would make everyone available, even if it meant making us weaker right now.

Take chances on young players that have a chance to be great.....over consistent players that are probably ceilinged out.

TWill is a good example, he has massive upside, but he might not get there....

Get more guys like that....find a young PG with size ...maybe Rubio..etc.....

Go for the homerun....the solid single is treading water.

I'm for trading Scola if it means we get back a king's ranson. He's 30. Great offensively but as good as he is offensively, he is as bad defensively. He's got the most value. I'd trade him for the right pieces and picks. Martin is younger and still ultra-efficient. I'd keep him for now. Maybe trade him next season depending on what we could get for Scola.

I'd drop the hammer on a Scola/Brooks for Cousins deal. It would be interesting to see what Scola's value is to other teams. He is locked up for a few years at a very reasonable contract for his production.

So the logic is: this season was supposed to be about building around a healthy Yao, but now that Yao is done :( then it's time to raise the foundation and look for a new cornerstone.

    I get it.

Yeah, doubt the Rockets were going to include Martin in a deal that didn't involve an Elite player. We still need a move that clears some roster space.

We need to srink the rotation and give some minutes to the young guys. I've given up on Chases weak minded style of Basketball. No room here for weak minded players. T-mac was enough.

disagree 100% with lowry. keep kyle. he's actually developing into a pretty interesting player. i don't think you can just throw a young point guard away who looks like he is starting to get it. has this organization ever had a pg average over 8 apg? kyle is certainly looking like he can do it.

i agree 100% about kmart and luis. morey rightfully felt that giving up martin for gortat was not fair value...so no deal done there. morey has seemed to do a pretty good job at assessing a players value on the illiquid trade market, so maybe he has better potential deals out there for kmart and luis. also, after looking at the playoff teams more i do agree that luis would be in big time demand too. he would fit pretty much anywhere.

Denver would easily take Martin and maybe Hill and a couple of 1st for Anthony. ANd they would gladly do it and they would be in their right mind.

Martin for Anthony straight up. No, of course not. But that is the point. In the right situation Martin can be become an integral part of a trade that nets you a superstar. Landry got us Martin and most people would agree we got the better of that deal. The knicks pick got us Williams and most would agree we got the better of that deal. Vspan got us Scola, Ariza got us Lee, It happens all the time. People trade lesser talent for better talent. Of course it has to be almost the perfect storm. But the Lakers got Gasol because they had an expiring contract and a few assets to help make it work. Dallas got Chandler for almost nothing because they an immediate expiring contract to absorb his salary. The Wizards got Hinrich and Yi for free because they had room. So yes Martin could get us a Superstar in the right circumstances.

Scola will be more important to a veteran team, rather than the Kings.

Morey what in world is going on? Get a C but don't give up on the season. KM has been playing well this season and he gets the team in the bonus.

    No, they wouldn't.

If Denver would have been receptive to that deal, it would have already been accepted twice over by Morey. Martin is not a franchise player. Denver doesn't want to replace their franchise player with a #3 or #4 guy. That's why they want Favors.

Every team wants k-martin, our most valuable asset. Martin should feel proud that he's been asked about (not shopped around).

who would want a 30 year old Scola other than teams playing at a high level? And what can those teams playing at a high level offer? Picks in high 20s? No thank you. Morey can just purchase those slots from other teams.

Unless......You're willing to trade Scola back to the spurs and get Tiago in return along with a pick in the high 20s. Tiago and scola, best friends trading places. JEjejeje.< insert scola laugh

    I would rather avoid Anthony.

I'm fine with tanking and rolling the dice in the lottery, or mugging a perennial loser for their recent draft (ie Cousins from SAC), but please don't saddle us with a "superstar" who hasn't shown he can go all the way.

I don't think we would have denied a Landry for Gortat.
