The only reason some rankings have the Rox so low is because we don't have any low post players. BUT, if we get Jackson and team him with Eddie in the post, they will have to rewrite those reviews. Eddie was one of the best low post players in college when he was among tops in blocks and rebounds. Not to mention his turnaround and hook shots. The dude does it on both ends and its only a matter of time before he beats out KT for the starting 4 spot. It will probably happen during the preseason.

    5-Jackson
    4-Griffin
    3-Rice
    2-Mobley
    1-Francis

This will be an imposing lineup this season.

Has anyone seen Vin Baker? He looks great.Thats trouble for the rockets. I went to nba.com and the sonics had an open practice. Vin Baker looked like he was about 245-250 which will definitely help them.

You're right, he does look great!

A motivated Baker and happy GP, with their depth at SG and SF, puts the Sonics right in the mix in the Pacific.

This is going to be a great season!!

We have to take these predictions for what they're worth. I'm a huge Rockets fan, but I don't think they're just that much better than Seattle,Utah,Port,Phoe, and Minn. This year will be much harder for the because of the improved east and the improved west. 1-4 I think is set in the west, 5-10 is a toss up to me. Clipps are going to be tough, Den without McDyess is still talented. Phoe is replacing 1 all star with another and getting 2 former back Penny and Googs. Port has gotten quicker seattle finally has Baker in shape and now Minn has smith, woods, and garnett on the front line. The scary thing is Garnett is now the sf. Utah is still maybe a 50 win team with malone and stocton. I think La,Sac,Dallas, and SA will win 50+ games. The other teams will duke it out, but none will win 50. Some will call me crazy, but thats what i think will happen

I think some of you guys are seriously underestimating the Raptors. I personally don't think that the Rockets will be better than them. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they deserved a 17th rating but the Raptors will be much better this year. The Raptors will be a much better team in my opinion because of the fact that they added Dream, and they are returing an entire team that nearly beat the Sixers in the EC Finals. Adding Dream allows Davis to move back to his natural position of PF.

As for the Rockets, I think the loss of Taylor is going to hurt more than you guys think. I also think that Jackson is a little overrated. You also have to through in the fact that someone else mentioned ... Jackson hasn't even practice with the team yet. Griffen may become a superstar some day but it won't happen this year. Even the best rookies take time to develope.

I do think that the Rockets will be better than the Sonics, Heat, T-Wolves, and maybe even Utah. I could easily see a 10th seed.
