theres nothing wrong with iverson being in the #9 slot. he had one of his best seasons as a player last year, and he single handly taken a team full of crappy role players to the finals.

Actually I would rate Duncan and TMac even.
Next I would have Lebron, Kobe, Garnett.

TMac has the edge in upside and age
    Duncan in rings and consistency

    Lebron has sooooooooo much potential
    Kobe still has the talent
Garnett is being pushed by DeWade
    Shaq is finally getting old.

Yao can define himself this season.

IF you were going to start an NBA team from scratch and had your choice of all the players for just one season, this coming season, and you only had this one season to win a championship, how many player would you take before you took Yao?

    1. Duncan
    2. Shaq
    3. TMac
    4. Nash
    5. Garnett
    6. Jermaine
    7. Manu
    8. Ray Allen
    9. Yao
    10. AI
    11. Franchise
    12. B. Diddy
    13-30. whoever

    Yao is nowhere near 30.

    LeBron > Kobe
    Hamilton > Baron Davis, Marbury

    Tony = David Letterman

Am I reading this wrong, or did you just post that Manu "sometimes a starter" Ginobili would be the 7th best person in the NBA to take to build a championship team around for one season? I'd rather take Fancy than Manu and most know how I feel about Steve. Your list is some kind of sick joke.

Ray Allen and Jermaine O'neal ahead of Yao? Ray is a great scorer, but is old. He couldn't take a team with Glenn Robinson and Sam Cassel in their primes, with the only competition being a Sixer team consisting of Allen Iverson and scrubs. He certainly won't be able to do it now. Jermaine O'neal - I like his game, but he is always injured. Shaq is almost getting too old, but you can still build around him and win.

I agree with the top 10 but I dont belive Shaq should be so high and Yao is not the 31st best player.

I am not a big fan of Amare Stoudemire. But he being not in your top 13 list is just ... and also Manu and Ray Allen before Yao...

Amare is gone man. He's not going to be the same as last year. Book it.

Ok, so if Yao does not break 20 pts/10 rbs this season then this guy will be very disappointed. I guess he must have predicted Yao to average 25 pts /12 rbs in his 4th season when he was drafted to the NBA in 2002.

Or was he one of those people who said something like the Houston Rockets had make a big mistake to draft Yao Ming and he would never average more than 13 pts /6 rbs in the NBA?

It would be fun to track back what this guy has said in 2002.

I know it' "hate Dallas" time, but I think Nowitzki should be higher on that list...

He wasn't even the best player on his team during money time aka the playoffs. Nowitzki is very good, but this year the league will cut down on flopping calls, so he won't be as effective. Divac knew better, so he retired
