LOL. Good luck getting him to be a happy backup, whoever is going to get him.

I hope DM won't try to get another aging vet like Bibby for him.

The article stated that Brooks would be a solid back up pg. The league has obviously scouted him and has placed a value on him as far as where he stands as a player.

I find it hilarious how they called him a "back-up point guard." Because that's exactly where his ceiling is.

Well, they said they were going to get "upside" players.

I know a denizen of ClutchFans, currently on hiatus, who's already deleted CBS from his cable channels.

I agree and he is probably our best tradeable piece while not taking away from what we currently have. People would love to have points off the bench. You don't think LA would love to have brooks instead of fisher and blake? And that's LA supposedly one the top NBA teams.

Brooks is solid and people selling him short don't recognize that he is still a good piece. Surely a package of budinger hill patterson with brooks as the center piece could get us somewhere?

He doesn't fit our team anymore since we don't need a score first no defense point guard. Many people will.

Hopefully we can trade in brooks points for someone with the same scoring and better defense.

I don't think I'll be surprised at all if I don't check clutchfans or any other sports media for the next three days and find that on the 25th of February, Aaron Brooks is no longer a member of the Houston Rockets.

Brooks has good trade value, even with his struggles recently. We might not get an up-and-coming hyped up player, but we can get a decent return.

He doesn't really have a choice, if the front office decides to hold onto him he has to play with us for at least one more season regardless. Well I mean he does have a choice in that he could retire, but if he wants to remain in the NBA, he has no choice :p

He says he wants to stay a Rocket.

That's what he's best built for -- a 6th man sparkplug that can come in and score a lot when the first option is resting. I don't even think of it as a slight.
