    I think it's obvious that we can get more value out of dealing Asik and Lin now, assuming it opens up more cap space. We could get a pick or two and maybe some nice players and possibly additional cap room to go out and sign someone else (Millsap, Iggy, Smith, etc.).

    If you wait to trade them after free agency, that window to use that additional cap room closes and you have to be more picky about what you can get in return.

    Morey has cited the ability to go sign another player with freed up $$$ before after making trades that were questionable at first glance.

    so is it possible to trade Lin and Dmo and future 1st for Rondo and then trading Asik , Royce white, Terrance jones, and future first for Lamarcus Aldridge? i am assuming that lin and asik count under the 8 mil plus number and would make those trades work

    I'm bummed that Asik is probably going to be traded. Perhaps he's let it be known that be prefers to start now that he's gotten a taste for it.
