So let me start by saying that I don't think that Lin is better than Rondo. However, I think that Lin is a better fit on the Rockets than Rondo.

What are some of the things that you think make Rondo so much better? What's he bringing to the table? If you even out the minutes played between them, Lin actually scores a little more than Rondo and gets more steals, while Rondo gets more assists (playing with Garnett and Pierce) and he has a slight edge on boards. but Rondo has no 3 point shot (which you are willing to overlook for him but probably cry bloody murder at Lin when he misses one) and he pretty much can't shoot past the free throw line. Heck, he can't even shoot at the freethrow line, judging from his 64.5 FT percentage- YIKES... guess Rondo forgot to bring FT's to the table.

Rondo's strength is penetrating and making layups and shots bear the bucket. With Howard and hopefully Smith in the paint, he won't have that real estate to work with. So for the Rockets, just say NO to Rondo.

What is he talking about? Nash was a spot up shooter last year, with Kobe and Howard playing post up.
Rockets started with the pick 'n' roll, but then became a Harden ISO, sometimes Parsons ISO led offense towards the end of the season.
I wish Broussard would get his facts straight, I watched both Rockets and Lakers games all season, I know what I saw.

Celts are my 2nd team, #1 is obvious. I love Rondo, but he is a terrible fit here. Rondo is a brilliant player, but his main flaw is his control. Doc kept his head on straight, kept his ego in check which lead to great seasons for the Celts.

When Rondo was away from Doc, he couldn't even make the USA team. He was complaining a lot and played out of control. He basically got cut over Eric Gordon.

Mchale doesn't know how to handle players like Doc does. From the way Lowry hates Mchale, Rondo would demand a trade on the first day of camp.

He saved face by leaving the team for personal reasons. He wasn't getting playing time, pouting because the coaches pulled him quick when he'd turn the ball over. Mchale is an old school coach, he does not cater to a player's feelings.

We like Jeremy and Omer. Dwight likes the idea of playing with both. We have no intentions of trading them.

Jeremy and Omer on the first planes out of Houston July 11th. :p

I think he's being honest about Asik. But I think Lin will be gone.

I think Asik will be gone first. I don't think Bev is starting material and we won't get a decent PG in return. I hope they can both stay, I like them both.

The perfect trade scenario is to trade Asik and Lin and maybe Jones to N.O. for Ryan Anderson, Eric Gordon, and Jason Smith. Asik allows the Unibrow to play his natural PF position and Lin is part of the rotation of Holiday, (signed Tyreke Evans) and Rivers. The Rox have the stretch 4 in Anderson and a now lethal backcourt of Harden and Gordon. Gordon's health is a two edged sword. It's beneficial and bitter to the Rox due to his shaky health but the upside when even 75% healthy is far greater than Lin. If nothing else it certainly would satisfy the idea of putting shooters around Howard.

its unlikely Lin goes first, you'd have to think Omer. Unless we're getting a star PG for the 3rd star (not happening) its much more likely we move omer for say josh smith, but with that said wouldnt be surprised if Lin gets moved.

I understand your points and I did say Lin would improve but the proof is in the pudding.. Rondos body of work shows he is an impact player....Yes, Pierce and Garnett are good players to rack up assists with but they still have to make the shots after the pass. The pass to get assists is the beauty of Rondo...he is a true PG and a defender that can change a game alone.....Lin has the skill but Ive yet to see Lin impact a game like Rondo can and its been proven in many Celtic games. Lin is no scrub, but a upgrade is an upgrade and Rondo is that. Now is he the best fit for this team...ummm..probably not. I prefer Dragic over both but Lin is not better and if Rondo was to ever play for the Rox he would be fine...better than Lin for sure.

I stated the same a few days ago and think this would work for both teams....maybe add a 2nd rd pk from the Rox...But this is what I can see Morey doing.
