Start him and make Parsons the sixth man then. I'd like to see us like the Heat who would have Allen, Lebron, and Wade on the court at once. Iggy, Harden, and Parsons down the stretch....

It will mostly be for a young, cheap player. LMA wants to Asik to play in Portland.

I'll do it for future 1st rounder and Leonard

You do that and you alienate a younger Parsons. Not happening.

That would reduce payroll, add a young big with high upside, and give us a another first round pick in the 2014 draft.

    Not bad!

I'm sure Asik is 100% gone. Not so sure about Lin. I can't think of any teams that have a big need for Lin at his price.

Apologize for what? Asking him about his sources and for more detail? This isn't a free country anymore?

i agree that they're maybe testing his value, but now that the cat is out of the bag, they may be forced to trade him.

i don't think this leak came from the rockets but rather from another GM that wants lin at a price that morey wouldn't accept. well, now he almost has to trade him 'cause it's not public; similar to the kevin martin situation last year.

Klay and Bogut's expiring for Dwight Frickin Howard?

If Bogut were healthy? Not so bad.

Since Bogut is a shell of his former self? Talk about lowball offer.

    Who is THIS idiot?

Right, since they have yet to make a pitch that makes perfect sense.

i feel that someone does want lin and forcing morey's hands to trade him. the GM that leaked this info to Deeks and others is probably the one that wants lin at a price that morey would not accept. well now that it's out, morey almost has to trade him in order for this to not be an distraction on the team come fall.

No way the Rockets would trade Asik to the Blazers for "cap space" and a S&T Hickson. The Rockets can get better offers than that. I know the Blazers are not going to give up Aldridge, but they would have to sweeten the pot a lot more. Add a 2014 1st round pick or C.J. McCollum.

In everything I've read that comes from the Rockets, Omer is not mentioned at all, but they throw in a token reference to Lin sometimes, about how he can push the pace/run the offense centered around Howard, blah blah.

It's a bit awkward for sure. It's clear their core is Harden/Parsons that they're pitching to Dwight. Lin and Asik have been really quiet. Maybe they've already got trading partners in mind for them.

Dwight and our possible 3rd star will lighten the scoring burden greatly.

That one made me laugh when I saw someone tweet it earlier today.
