Whoever said the Lakers lost because they weren't healthy, I'm not buying that.

They were something like 0-10 or 0-11 when the Big Four or Big Five played. There were chemistry issues all year. Their defense was horrible. They're old.

The Lakers "super team" was a dud from the get-go. And it's not going to be any better this year, with everybody a year older. Yeah, Nash is healthy. And he's about to be 40, too. And Kobe is coming off injury.

Lakers Big 4 was a mega bust. I don't blame Dwight for wanting away from the wreckage.

People are so excited about the will be starting five. What if someone got injured. Will our bench be deep enough?

If I not mistaken, Dwight is not even 100% healthy.

I would like to see an Asik/ Howard pairing. I just hope that Dwight is okay with the potential of not having a legitimate center next to him

Obviously it's not semantics since the two scenarios are entirely different. The Rockets aren't dumping Lin and Asik in anticipation of signing Dwight. It couldn't be any clearer.

Man, I'd hate to see Asik go, though I can understand that he'd be a luxury if the Rockets get Howard. But if we could get the PF upgrade without giving up Asik, that would be a total coup.

I like Lin and he showed improvements as well, but if it takes him and Asik to get that third star player in place, well c'est la vie, I guess.

The Rockets are playing this very aggressively. I like, but at the same time, there is a possibility that they're overplaying their hand.

partially agreed with you. Rondo is a top 10 player in the league.

however, all things i read about him indicates he is not the best locker room guy. I mean, when Doc Rivers can't stand you, you got issues.

There is no poison pill contract. The poison pill only happens if Chicago or New York matched the offers. For the Rockets, in regards to the cap, the deals are spread out evenly over the 3 years of the contract.

Tell that to Asik and Lin. Players shouldn't get too comfortable, but geez man, you can't be running your offseason like its a NBA 2K game every year

I agree. I think if you are trading Lin or Asik you better be getting LMA or Rondo or something.

Right now if we just add Howard we would still be relatively deep. We'd have Pbev coming off the bench, we'd have 3 bigs in Smith/Asik/Howard and we'd have all those PFs. Maybe we can resign Garcia as well.

Howard may miss some games if we get him, so keeping Asik around seems like a nice idea.
