Agree 100% AB would have to moved to a third team to make this work since the Hornets already have Collison.

C'mon Morey this is your chance CP3 and Okafor would be perfect. We have better assets to offer than anyone.

    GET IT DONE.

Knicks don't have much to give, and I would imagine they would want them to take on Okafor's contract, which I doubt the knicks would do since they' re trying to get Melo.

I think NO would think about trading to Houston because honestly they don't know how long Yao will last if at all.. This gives them time and not worry about contending with us when they finally have a team in 4-5 years.. (Side Reminder if they trade to us for the NY 1st round picks then it sweetens the deal if they don't trade CP3 to NY)

You guys are out of your mind if you don't include the NY 1st round draft picks.....

AB + NY (Both 1st round Picks) + Expiring Jarred Jeffries + Shane Battier + Budinger + Hill....

    Tier 2/3 talent in AB
Young talent in Chase + Hill
    Expiring's in Jarred + Shane..
    1st round picks...

That is how you have a chance at CP3 + Okafor... And that only puts your foot in the door..

That is the only way I see us being a contender within the next 2-4 years... There is nothing else out there that can do it.... We would of picked up the best PG in Rockets history (Sorry Kenny and Sam) and an enforcer inside...

This is what you call GOING ALL IN!

He has heart because after a couple of injuries and not being able to carry his team back deep into the playoffs he wants to be traded to a team that is ready to win now? GTFOH!

Well, it's a long shot for any team. Lots of teams want him and there's only one Chris Paul.

I doubt anything happens soon no matter how hard his agent pushes. In the end, if they don't trade him, he's still under contract for 2 seasons. Totally different than if he was a FA like Bosh and Lebron.

My guess is nothing happens until the ownership transition thing gets sorted out.

You'd want rock solid assurances that he intends to re-sign before coughing up a lung to get him.

If you are a point guard, wouldn't a lineup with Yao, Martin, and scola be a great way to pad the assist stats?

None taken. Good points all of them but there are some big differences there. Rondo doesn't dominate the ball like CP does. Not even close. He makes quick decisions with the rock. You seldom see him dribbling the air out of the ball trying to either set him or a teammate up. Tony either. He plays off the ball more than anything, especially when Manu's in. AB's game is pretty close to Tony's. And Isiah pretty much shared the PG duties with Dumars.

For me, CP, Tracy and Lebron are all cut from the same cloth. They put up insane numbers (pts & assists wise) because they have the ball 95% of the time. Come playoff time, teams tee off on that ability. Either saying I'll let you score all you want but I'm not letting you set your teammates up or vice versa, we'll pack the paint so you can't get yours and we'll see if your team can beat us. That's why you don't see a lot of "pure" point guards leading there team to a championship. The majority of point guards who have rings are combo guards.

CP is hella exciting man but I'm not sure playing that type of ball is really what we need to get over the hump.

I agree... it would be very difficult for the new ownership to sell tickets if they move Paul.

It will have a lot to do with Yao's health.

a lineup of Howard,Lewis, Carter etc. or Amare/Carmelo etc will be a better bet at this moment until Yao shows he's fully recovered and can last long.

    What?? Dude you're crazy.

Do you really think NO has given him talent to win the years he has been there? Who went off in the playoffs against top point guards a few years ago?? Did they make they playoffs this year with his backup? Did their coach get fired?

Do YOU want to win? I sure as hell know I want my team to win.

So did kobe before they got gasol and he was asking about being traded. So did garnett (injuries, please trade me Oh ***** I just won a ring with Boston!!)

    Please...

    LOL.

I guess we would have to give all our allowable draft picks for the next few years to the Hornets...and Philly would have to throw in one as well.

I'll say NY or Orlando. Probably Orlando ahead of NY as they have more assets to play with.

It's just how it works. Teams rarely trade all star players to other teams in same division, Most of the time it's a different conference. Examples in this decade: Shaq, KG, Tmac, Ray Allen, Payton,AI,Kidd, Billups, Baron Davis, Tmac, SF3, Marbury.
