The Knicks have a brutal schedule coming up. They'll fall back down to earth and have a record of under 500. The Rockets are making a push. I'm confident that the Rockets will end up with the better record.

It's going to come down to the better deal. Hill's value has risen while Favor's has dropped since the off-season.

A move for Melo would propel this team to another level. We get the closer that we're coveting and everyone has seen how this team can operate with a SF that can score (Battier's better play as of late)..

We know the Rockets are willing to trade for Melo without an extension. I say gamble and obtain his birds rights. We're in position to garner some assets from NY if he decides to bounce.

Can someone elaborate on the issues brandon roy is having and if the blazers are still comfortable having him as their alpha male? He comes off as the cuba gooding jr of jerry maguire and that's probably why bayless was traded. It's normally explosive players who come with the ego's, not fundamentally sound ones.

    I need the ball more.

We need to run more plays for me down the stretch.

Well we know DM has been going after him and it has been rumored (?) that Melo would sign an extension with us.

I can't see him opting out of the 3 yr/65 M with the Rockets. Get R Done Morey! :p

I don't know how much you know, maybe you already have the scoop on this. Brandon Roy's knees are s**t. He has no....meniscus? cartilage?...in them, no shock absorber between the bones. So he's robbed of his mobility already, and he has four years at max money left on his contract.

It leaves the Blazers having to perform some major tap-dancing, as the two players they were banking on as the future of the franchise have major Yao-Tmac-type health issues.

Rumor had it that before the season started, the Portland GM and his staff spit-balled the possibility of trading Roy. It was probably not a long discussion.

Sorry if I recapped what you already know.

Nope, you just educated me in a big way. Gimme some sugar up top. Booya. Can the blazers pump foam (something similar) in there to give him a shot at a recovery? Pritchard firing makes sense now.

They are about to run into a crazy schedule, I wonder if they will make it out alive.

BUT... even if the Rockets have the better record they may not make the playoffs, whilst the Knicks with a .500 record probably will in the East. It will come down to whether both teams miss the playoffs or not and where the teams end up in the lottery.

Prz is definitely worth going after....not sure what they'd want though. Maybe the rights to Lull? Not sure he'll be coming over with our backcourt of lowry/brooks/martin/lee/taylor.

JP is still at a good age and could deserve one more contract. Center rotation of Yao/Prz/miller looks good. 2 way player, defender, and an offensive player.

Melo would be out of here so fast it would make our heads spin.

He wants NY and had made that abundantly clear.

I know a lot of ppl are talking about Roy's knees, but I would love for the Rockets to try and grab him. He is more clutch than anyone we have on the team right now, bad knees and all.

What assets? We already got almost all of NY's assets worth getting and whats gonna stop Melo from just signing as a FA outright when the season ends?

You do the trade for Melo without an extension and you can end up giving Jordan Hill+god knows what got half a season of Melo. There are some thing you just don't risk no matter how good the payoff is, and is this is one of them. It would be like selling everything you own to buy tickets at the lottery.

Do you like having Yao Ming on the team, aka best center on the league when fully healthy? Do you like having him on the team so much you want the guard version of him sitting on the bench making max money as well?

Lets pair up Yao and Roy together and we can have the best injured superstar duo and admire the suits they wear come playoff time.

I hate K_Berg. He blocked me from following him because I made a joke about him getting out scooped on the McGrady deal. Now I'm missing out on one of the best reporters out there -- ughhhhh.
