Dwight doesn't make his own decisions. :p Or should I say, struggles with his decision making?

As I've said previously, guy probably has 10 different people pulling him in 10 different directions.

    Agent: stay in LA Dwight!
GFs/baby mommas: Let's go to Dallas!
Friends/family: Come back home to Atlanta!
Outside world: Go to Houston! Makes all the sense in the world!

J.R., I completely understand that. Remember Houston fans and public opinion is also another force pulling him.

In negotiations such as these, public opinion can really set the playing field on which the negotiations are played.

Example: if Laker's fans are angry with the way Dwight is handling this free agency decision, there is an outcry and they want him gone... that will factor into his decision.

On the other hand, if Houston fans talk up how awesome Dwight would fit in to the team and how deadly the Harden / Dwight PNR would be, what a great city Houston is... that would also factor into Dwight's decision.

I think media types and Dwight's circle follow fan forums like Clutch Fans more than you think, and I'm sure word gets back to Dwight about issues raised.

I realise that its a long time to July 1st but I'm being positive and sending a message that Dwight would be welcome here.

Houston, the city and its fans, need to start a PR campaign to woo D12. It can't just be Morey and the Rockets. Dwight wants to be loved, so the Houstonians need to start showing it - BIG time. Everything is bigger in Texas. Now is the time to show it.

Yes. We need to spread the word. Let it be known that Houston wants Dwight in a rockets uniform.

It'll be nearly impossible for a couple hundred Rocket fans to get something trending in the US.

Someone convince Bun B or Chamillionaire to help us get started. They have a larger following than all of us combined.

Morey needs to get some help to add some glamour to Houston's image.

Some Houstonian celebs would certainly help:

Expensive but great backup center. With two top defensive centers on our team, the Rockets would dominate the paint defensively all game long.

A lot of the times, Howard would often get himself into foul trouble early in games. But with Asik backing him up, the Rockets would never lose a step defensively in the paint.

Nothing ground-breaking here. Most of this article is just going on about the drama between Howard and D'Antoni, but here's a clip-

Houston has become an attractive destination for Howard for several other reasons, according to a source. For starters, Howard has gotten to know the Houston area, as well as the history of the franchise, from working out with Rockets Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon two summers ago. Furthermore, the 27-year-old Howard is intrigued by the possibility of growing his game alongside a fellow All-Star on the rise in James Harden, who turns 24 in August.

Howard is expected to entertain the free-agency process and hear competing offers from Houston, Dallas and others, multiple sources told ESPNLosAngeles.com. Cleveland and Atlanta are teams that will also be vying for Howard, among other suitors.

The question remains as to how much of a hurdle D'Antoni's presence could prove to be in Howard's chances of remaining a Laker.
