That's very interesting that he wants to play with Asik. I guess he wants to be more like Duncan.

 

The reason for wanting to play with a good big man is not to play next to him, but more so that he doesn't have to play a ton of minutes. Asik would relieve him from having such a large portion of the minutes on himself. That's his thinking.

But Morey will look to move Asik before his deal is up if a favorable deal is out there. I'm sure Dwight knows that. I don't understand why Lin would be out.

Obviously he thinks Lin would be traded t bring in another piece....like a pf many think they need. People like to put Asik on the block for that purpose but under Ron's scenario Asik needs to stay.....thereby leaving Lin as the most valuable trade asset.

I'd imagine that Lin is in jeopardy[if not trade bait] simply because that means that Asik is here for the long term along w Parsons. Lin becomes the casualty unless he's cool playing at 2.5/yr.

If we do get Howard, I'm really hoping T-Jones and D-MO can evolve their games and become the stretch fours we will be needing.

 

By the way, that's a great sign. When you start having good role players sign onto your squad for the min, you're doing something right.

 

I can understand why Lin would be in jeopardy since with Howard here he's not really needed and Bev seems capable enough to start with Harden. So they would negotiate a contract with Brooks?
