I feel you Tinny. I'm just wondering what you think about this quote though.

"I don't really care about the money," Artest said. "I'll play there for nothing. ... L.A. was very interested in me, and they got me."

Why would he not sign with us then when he said he loves Houston and wouldn't care if Yao was out? We would easily sign him for a pretty cheap deal...

well, say goodbye to the Rockets western conference title chances for the next few years. Gasol, Bynum, Kobe, Odom, Artest? That's freightening.

so one guy said it's not final, but if it is, wow that's really interesting that he'd join the team we fought against in the playoffs.

kobe with artest is a pretty strong duo..not to mention with gasol odom and bynum...

it'd definitely be nice to get ariza.

that's not good news for us.

We need a some bigs, we have healthy center.

Morey get rid of Tmac NOW!
I was all excited about the Amare rumors, now nothing!

I doubt he breaks up the Lakers. Kobe is not having that, plus he respects Kobe so much.

    I saw it coming.

Ron has been in LA for the longest time, he was there for the finals, then the BET awards.

Also, the Yao factor is giant. Maybe if we got Amare for Tmac, I think he'd consider staying, but the writing is on the wall that we are blowing up the team.

    Update,

One source says its going to happen, to mark it down. The other says nothing is final. Read between the lines, nothing is final until July 8th...

If this goes through, wasn't it obvious he's had a fascination with all things Kobe and the Lakers? Artest complaining about the hits to the throat, and him running on the sideline that one time after a no call was him drama queening trying to get the popular jock and the in-crowd's attention.

I hope he does not go to the Lakers. I would like to keep Artest, but if he goes somewhere, I hope it is not the Lakers.

Man I was hoping he signed with Cleveland if he didn't re-sign here.

The Lakers out of all places. Damn

I bet we don't even get Ariza.

With the way this off-season is going I expect for us to sign Anderson Varejao and some other scrub.

there is nothing special about artest. his selfish play was detremintal to the Rockets.

So long Artest. I really don't care where he ends up. as long as it isn't here.

the experiment was fun, but it was a failure.

I just have no love for the Lakers and anyone that would sign with them possibily to get a ring. So Ron Artest aka Ron Ron as many have called him is dead to me.

Does that make me a hater? No doubt but just like its his right to go out and get money, its my right to hate on him taking an easy route. If it had been any other team, I'd been ok with him signing with but the Lakers, signing to a team right after they win a championship. I don't give props so freely for that.

true. he could've agreed to terms of a contract, but nothing can be done until the 8th.

hopefully morey works out a S&T for ariza so we can use the MLE for someone else.

So he won't play for Houston for the MLE, but he will play for the Lakers for league minimum?

It looks like we're blowing up this team. If we don't trade McGrady, its obvious we are waiting for his contract to expire to CLEAR UP tons of space.

How quickly we have fallen man. We were so close last season and we have fallen off so far. I'll still support though.
