Terrible story. IMHO there is no reason or rationale to politicize this or debate it. It's just a terrible story.
Should have been Joyless Behar instead of this pretty lady! On the lighter note, the real reason Anderson Cooper was attacked because the protesters actually watch his show AC360 and found it nauseating!!!
New York Post reports Logan was NOT raped... http://nypost.com/p/news/international/egypt_reporter_lara_logan_endured_SMTA3WyAlqx8o02wYag41K

Great to hear that there was not an actual rape, but in 20 to 30 minutes, there could have been some seriously f***ed up sh** going down. Glad to hear Logan is OK, the woman is fearless, she was one of the embedded reporters in Afghanistan and Iraq.
She's also being released from the hospital today and is said to be in good spirits... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/16/lara-logan-being-released_n_823881.html
Yes I'm using common sense. I'm taking CBS at their word. I shouldn't have used cop a feel because it minimizes what was done to her. I believe she was severely beaten and violated. However, I'm not going to assume there was intercourse.
I saw this reported yesterday on NBC news and very tragic. Skimming this thread I agree that its way too early to say there was any political or other motivation to this other than guys acting out in a mob. Sadly this shouldn't be surprising and stuff like this happens. During the Rodney King Riots I worked for the Cal newspaper the Daily Cal and on the first night of the riots in Berkeley three guys tried to beat me up, I'm not sure how I got away from them but I wasn't hurt. Several other reporters for various news services that night got beat up including a TV cameraman seriously. I remember talking to a guy from Reuters that night who said the media getting attacked isn't unusual. In the case of a woman like Lara Logan too some people get into their mind that since they are on camera they pretty much are fair game. I can't find the video but there is video of Erin Andrews being felt up by a college student she was interviewing at a college basketball and that is here in the US and not even in a mob scene.
It might not be a bad idea for you to go find a fire and perhaps die in it, should you be so inclined.
sad... whats just as sad is the pathetic dorks trying to use this to prove their political points (OP, ATW, etc)
I bet you any amount of cash that had the names been Palin and Hannity, not only you'd agree with me but you'd also rep me! All those stupid little green squares next to your handle do not make you any smarter or wittier! Typical bull**** liberal HYPOCRISY!!!!!
What political point would I have tried to prove with any post in this thread? All I said was that it is idiotic to make assumptions on whether the people who did this were pro- or anti-Mubarak. Simply STFU.
