Nah, I don't even think the guy who did these rankings thinks so... he's just having fun... like he said, the Rox won't stay there long. He's just giving them an "attaboy!" for a good week, and for the not running into walls for no reason thing.
thats what power rankings are, they're basically a litmus test on how good you've been playing, it's not a playoff seeding which is why the ones from before the season are funky.
I don't know what board you are apart of or have been watching but there has been real concern about the bench since the beginning of preseason. One thing people don't seem to realize is that our bench was not that great last year. We actually improved the team overall with addition by subtraction. Our bench has better defense and three point shooting. Asik barely played and when he did he sulked his way through games. Jeremy Lin was streaky and was a liability in the playoffs so what exactly are we missing? He barely played defense and all of the rest of the bench is the same so what are we missing from last year? At this point last year we would start losing to bad teams I don't see that happening this year.
IKR, It kills me that people still don't understand what power rankings are. Those people that were crying last week about us being 9-12 behind the Mavs should go hide their heads in shame now that we are #1 one week later, lol.
you mean the 67 wins 1999-2000 Lakers? So, no, you can't really compare us to a 67 win team. And then the next year Shaq goes 15-1 in the playoffs.
