Thanks, Captain O. Don't know what we'd do without you.

The Texans thus far have proven to be a terrible franchise.

I do not blame AJ and support whatever happens... Be it a trade, new deal or suspension. I wouldn't want to play for those clowns either.. and that is coming from a Texans fan.

I love Andre, but this is the first time that he's starting to get on my nerves. I'm really not sure what the hell he wants. We've already discussed the difficulties of trading him. I'm not convinced that this is all about a contract. If he doesn't want to play for this franchise then just retire because I'm sick of this story already.

Heh yeah it is... I would love to have a reason to defend the Texans.. But they haven't given the fans one. I hope they go 14-2 next year, but not likely. AJ on the other hand has been the best player in franchise history and a good soldier with a mediocre general.

You MIGHT be an Andre Johnson fan, but there's no way you are a Texans fan. Taking the side of someone who is working against the best interests of the franchise isn't something a fan would do.

There have been lots of players in various sports who've played on bad franchises...so what.

Not every team can win the Super Bowl. Andre has had much worse teams on paper than the one he has now, yet he didn't whine like a diva then....he does need to either retire or show up, because the Texans franchise has already used up all of their "let's do it since it's Andre" cards.....

Bro you don't know what you're talking about. We go back. One time he said to me (through an intercom), "This is Andre Johnson." And I said back, "OK. One moment please." Then I let him through to where he was trying to go.

    The love is mutual.

Nope, I am a Texans fan and desperately want to have confidence in them. I would love to be able to say AJ is being a fool... But objectively, I wouldn't want to play for the organization either based on their track record. Maybe BOB turns it around and maybe in hindsight I will be able to look and say "AJ missed out" but I have no confidence in that. Whatever AJ does from this point out doesn't change what he has done as a Texan. If he gets traded and they play the Texans I hope he has 0 yards... But I will understand why he left or wants to leave.

Yea... Ripping up a below market value contract AJ foolishly signed for short term money and making him a top paid WR was unacceptable. How dare the Texans do that. AJ owes NOTHING to the Texans organization.... SMH

I was thinking about all the poor draft pick, mismanagement of the cap, losing seasons, inability to be innovative and overall malaise.. But if you choose to cherry pick his contract so be it.

What's funny about this is that Andre's last little camp holdout was to get more money which is part of why the cap got so messed up ensuring that we would have cap casualties hurting the team....of course he didn't care about that then, only about getting more money and now the team plans on cutting him and he's upset about it. I have no sympathy for him at all. He actively hurt the team with his last contract demand and he's actively hurting the team again.

Don't tell someone they aren't a fan of the team that they are obviously a fan of. I don't know who you think you are to make a statement like that to some dude like you spending his time on a message board about his team.

Plus, it just comes off as, "You don't agree with me so you obviously don't like the Texans." Which I don't think is what you are intending.

Also with almost 200 posts in this thread (which is more than twice the 3rd most frequent poster) you just come off like you have some obsessive agenda. I guess it's more likely that there just isn't anything interesting to talk about right now. 3 more months...

It's not "if you don't agree with me" it's if you "wouldn't want to play for the organization", if you think the Texans are a "terrible franchise", and that the Texans are a bunch of "clowns", then it's pretty obvious that you aren't a fan and it shouldn't be shocking that others would conclude the same.

Andre really hurt some fans feelings lol. This man has been the ultimate professional and work horse for the Texans. And look how he gets bashed around here. Pretty darn comical.

I'm torn on this. I feel sympathy for Andre, but ultimately he has to shoulder some responsibility. It was his choice to sign his current deal. That deal didn't include the contingency that it can just be ripped up or he can bail if the team takes a turn for the worse.

I think its ironic that when asked about his feelings about the team during last season's meltdown Andre said "I'm under contract" First of all, way to show some leadership for your team Andre, and second of all... EXACTLY, you are under contract, it is your job, get your ass to the MANDATORY camp. Quit being a selfish baby.

I understood where he was coming from througn OTAs, but now he is losing respect from everyone.

I say trade him while he still has value.
