Our O line isn't near as bad Carr's was, in fact it may be one of our biggest strengths. This is about as good a situation for a rookie QB to come into, imo. Good O Line, really good RB, great WR, really good Defense, good offensively minded coach and low expectations.
The team might be fine... I just believe Fitzpatrick will be bad enough to warrant a quarterback change.
The Bills were bad, and he made Stevie Johnson look like a good wideout. I think if you take more responsibility away from him, that he will be good enough to get you wins. I too want to see Savage, but he makes me squeamish when throwing in to traffic.
So you guys are taking Travis Johnson's word that AJ is unhappy with his contract...??? Lol... Is that all we have to go on is Travis's word...??? Travis Johnson is the guy the news reporters run to when something happens in a black neighborhood. They bypass the "normal" looking people and put the guy with a Jheri curl bag on his head and holding a 40 on TV... That's Travis.
Well dat was racist LOL! Travis played with Andre, there is a small possibility he might know the "truth." Saying that, Andre and Travis don't seem like they would be buddies.
come on, god don't like dumb. As for andre, the day will come, maybe after this season, that we will have to let go =( I won't let go, andre.
Not racist... Lol... Black folks have pointed that out for a long time. Just the same _ no way I'm going to take what Travis says as truth over what AJ said himself. And that's what some people on this board are doing.
Don't know if these have already been posted, but they do (to some degree) seem to hang out with one another and also workout at the same gym. This isn't dispositive, but it at least raises an inference that he might have more knowledge than others. <iframe src="//instagram.com/p/n1oIaHlC_h/embed/" width="612" height="710" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true"></iframe> <iframe src="//instagram.com/p/n1t412lC4v/embed/" width="612" height="710" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true"></iframe> <iframe src="//instagram.com/p/oFPk7Ay04Q/embed/" width="612" height="710" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true"></iframe> <iframe src="//instagram.com/p/oEfKIUS0-t/embed/" width="612" height="710" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>
But it's not really though. His 3rd year in the league, he threw for over 3500 yards at 7.6 ypa...which put him at 11th in the league, right behind Tom Brady. He didnt have much to work with...he ended up being sacked the most in the league that season at 49 sacks...and then got sacked the following season, 68 times. From that point on, he deteriorated as a QB. His offensive line most definitely played a role in his lack of development as a QB. Does some of the blame go to his personal desires to not stay late after practice and watch game film? Sure. But to not give a large chunk of the blame to the five Derek Newtons he had protecting him would not be fair.
Not sure if you know or not, but Travis Johnson still has a lot of ties to the Texans organization. He's not some random ex player that's trying to hold onto his 15 minutes of fame. He has legitimate sources and friends within the organization.
He probably has just as much inside knowledge as pancakes. I'm not taking anything he says as gospel... And I don't care if he works out at the same gym as Dre. Dre is pulling a "trade me or cut me" move. If it was about the money he would shut up and play because teams don't hand out contracts like the one he has to receivers his age (especially ones that don't score TD's).
Y'all still talking about this? He's either here or not here, either way, we're not winning the Superbowl.
When they say it's about the money...he's not looking for more money than he is currently making. He's just wanting the money that's on the contract...in other words, being a cap casualty means he's losing money. Dre isnt going anywhere. He's going to be a Texan for at least 1 more season...there is no "trade me or cut me" scenario that makes any sense for the Texans.
I believe it's about him losing another year. He'll be 34 next year and maybe less productive. He's already collected over $75 million from the Texans (or around that much). He wants to play in a super bowl. His Miami homies have rings but he doesn't. He's not worried about next year's contract, he's worried about wasting the rest of his years away with the Texans. I'm not debating if he's going anywhere are not. I'm just telling you I'm not taking Travis Johnson's word on how Dre feels like you guys are.
