I think that there is no chance he gets traded, the way the CBA is set up, it makes trades extremely difficult and he has too much guaranteed money left to make any trade realistic. He'll come to his senses and issue an apology sooner rather than later.
I have no problems at all with what Dre said in the media. But the Texans aren't obligated to trade him to a playoff team. If the Browns are serious about a 1st and a 3rd round pick next year.... Put him on a bus to Cleveland. That could be two top 10 picks in next year's draft (at least 1). The Texans would be in position to draft whoever they want. Build a real team for O'Brien instead of trying to make Kubiak's trash smell like roses. If Cleveland isn't serious.... Send him to Carolina or another NFC team. Anywhere but New England.
AJ better not back out now, if we can get something for him pull that trigger. He will regret opening his mouth when the Texans are contenders and hes with the Browns or the Bills.
Again 610 sports radio thinks highly of him. The Houston Chronicle thinks highly of him. And so does CSN. Ive read some of his columns and dude has been spot on. Is he perfect , hell no. If you don't like the dude cool but don't make claims you don't know. Dude has a lot of followers on the Chronicle who redpect the hell out the man.
When has he been "spot on"? about anything that didn't already happen? His predictions are always awful.
This town is just using him as their Texans source bc he's been around for such a long time. From here on out, post columns where he is spot on and says something that other people dont know....and as has been for the last decade, we'll post everything that he is wrong about. You'll see how off your viewpoint is. There isnt anyone else in the media that knows so little about what is actually going on. I have nothing personally against him...but getting information from him is like me going and asking a 7 year old girl to fill me in on the Astros minor league rosters.
Given Belichick's track record for how he handles all players, with the exception of Brady, once they hit their 30's I seriously doubt they would make a move for AJ. He cut Moss when he was 32 and AJ is 33. They just don't pay big money to players on the decline.
They didn't want to give Moss a *new* deal. As in, long term, guaranteed money. AJ's deal isn't new. It's old. Most of the guarantees are absorbed and it only has 3 years left on it.
You say its not personal but you uses phrases like asking a 7 year old girl . Lol I see a lot of folks on here don't like the dude. I won't mention his name again around this camp.
No. A lot of people here don't like crappy opinions and utterly wrong information. I know it's shocking, but there are some people who believes that reporters should report correct information and not faulty ones. Yes, these people exist.
FWIW, i generally hate all sports writers. Especially the BWAA members who believe they are the main attraction in baseball.
His constant pandering about Johnny this draft season shred away any ounce of maple syrup of respect I had for him. For a "respected journalist" to do the crap he did pre-draft was one of the saddest things I've seen from a teams beat writer. Not professional at all.
Yeah, he's like the local version opposite of Adrian Wojnarowski. You can basically discount most of what he says.
