More than that. Track record suggest he still has 3 great years left.

No way that rumor is real, way too good to be true.

I love Andre, but 2- 1st round picks is pretty much a no-brainer, and the team gets huge cap savings in 2016.

Bolden had 2-3 productive years left when he was traded... and got a 6th.

Whatever team gives more than a 3rd is getting fleeced.

Trade request canceled cause the Browns signed Miles Austin, LOL. This guy is a jackass, got me really excited. He is saying the Browns will still pursue him for possibly a 1st and 3rd.

When I want news or reviews on the latest pancake batter/syrups I'll go to McClain. When it comes to Texans news anything coming out of his mouth can be taken with a splash of Aunt Jemima.

2 first for Andre(has much as I love him) is just highway robbery. There's no way he's worth 2 first rounders, let alone one. If this is true there's no way you can say no to that(especially with the impatience of Buffalo and Cleveland)

It will be a major bummer to see Andre finish his career somewhere else, but if he's unhappy and the Texans can get a pair of second round picks....

But who takes up the slack? Who would the Texans bring in for this season?

I believe Bolden only had one year left on his contract as well which could be why they could only get a 6th round pick for him.

Could be worth for Cleveland to spend a high pick on Dre. Because when Gordon comes back off of suspension the following year ----> Yikes

The thing that I'm thinking, and it may not actually work, but at this particular point in time, a whole bunch of teams just drafted young receivers that haven't signed yet and so only have the rookie cap hold, not any large bonus to convert to dead money. In many cases, those teams expect those receivers to step in right away and play and they probably aren't ready.

For instance (and I'm pretty sure this won't work because Denver is close to the cap) If you are Denver, you just lost Eric Decker to the Jets. You dust drafted a talented young receiver in the 2nd round in Cody Latimer... but Latimer is not entirely a finished product. Latimer should be a heck of a player in the long run, but you aren't playing for the long run. Over the remaining portion of Manning's career, I would bet that AJ will be more of an impact player.

If Houston goes to Denver and offers AJ for Latimer, if I'm Denver I know at the very least. I'm going to think long and hard about that. Others you might look at are Jordan Mathews, josh Huff, Devonte Adams, and Jarvis Landry.

I'm not entirely sure it would work, but I think that if you do have to trade AJ, I tg would be worth exploring. That way you don't end up with some chump opposite DeAndre.

I would be surprised if Andre nets anything better than a 3rd rounder.

He has an expensive contract and in a trade scenario any GM trading for him will question his future productivity.

So Travis Johnson, who still has ties with a lot of people in the Texans organization, mentioned that Andre tried to get an extension at the start of last season...when he still had 4 more years on his contract.

In any case, if we can get a pair of 2nd rounders, that trade needs to happen. As much as Andre owns a portion of my heart, that's just too good to pass up. Let Andre have his chance on another team (If that's really what he's seeking) and then use those sexy ass draft picks with the cap relief to build a winner.

Texans will make a playoff run before AJ does :(

That's wild... he said the exact opposite last night on CSN after the Astros game. Maybe something changed overnight.

My point wasn't how right I was, it was how most of the time the things Pancakes says are worthless.

Pat Kirwan from CBS was discussing possible trade situations and what the Texans should expect for AJ.

He discussed 3 possibilities...the Patriots, Chiefs, and Panthers.

If a trade to the Patriots, he said AJ for WR Aaron Dobson and a 3rd.

If a trade to the Chiefs, AJ for WR Donnie Avery and a 3rd.

If a trade to the Panthers, AJ for LB AJ Klein and a 3rd.

    Thoughts?

Well why does this man have a column with the Houston Chronicles and why do they have him on Comcast CSN talking about the Texans. Why do the radio host on 610 have this man on every week especially during the season?

Since you cats are so knowledgeable about these Texans why don't yall have yall own column? Why don't yall get a few quest appearances on CSN?

John is well respected around the league but he doesn't know jack schit. Bwhahaha ok pimps.

Did you just start following Pancakes or something? I think he misses on 95% of what he says...he has ZERO connections and he's just as much of an armchair QB as anyone on this site. He is completely clueless.

You might be the first person Ive ever come across think so highly of the guy.
