How was that a favor? He resigned here because this is where he wanted to be.

Actually, I'll back up Max here. He's made more as a Texan than he would have had he gone to free agency. Teams are not lining up to give free agent WR's deals like their current teams give them. The restructuring of his deal almost every year to push off the cap hit helps him big time. He's gotten extensions he probably wouldn't have gotten if he had gone elsewhere as a free agent and he consistently gets money up front when he reworks the deal instead of waiting until the end of his deal to get it.

Poor Andre, to be fair, when he resigned we were a rising team with a awesome defense and above average offense. Its not his fault Schaub turned to garbage and we chose Arian Foster over keeping the line that made Arian Foster all of his money. If I were in his shoes I'd be incredibly pissed to. How many rebuilding seasons does he have to go through?

Exactly, he's on the team because of his own choice. Not because the Texans are the only team willing to or capable of paying him millions.

I think the point is that he's NOT doing what's best for him. He's stuck here, he'd be doing what's best for him if he got his ass in camp and helped the team become as good as they could be rather than pouting like a child.

Our defense is gonna be nice.

This isn't about that anyway. Always follow the dollar signs.

The grass is always greener on the other side. I know it's frustrating but finish out the contract. Larry Fitzgerald's superbowl run came out of nowhere. You can never tell how close you are.

He made the same argument that Sterling did. Didn't realize that wasn't clear.

There's an Ed Reed reference/joke somewhere to be made in all this...

Hmm, wonder if Philly would have taken him for their first round pick to replace DJax? You know, that pick that went for Manziel.......

I honestly don't know if our defense is going to be that much better. Clowney and JJ Watt are scary as hell but our DB's still suck and other than Cushing, who is always hurt, our linebackers aren't that great either. Plus we don't know if Clowney is going to be as good as projected. Its always scary relying on a rookie.

I don't think so. He clearly doesn't want to sign a new contract with the Texans. He wants to be traded to a contender. Obviously all he can do is sit out and hope the Texans can trade him, or retire. I imagine he'll sit out for a bit if they do not trade him and then play begrudgingly.

Wow, and you try to defend the tragically stupid comment....I don't have the words. You should have just left it at the one stupid comment rather than making another one.

OLB isn't a tough transition. See Von Miller. Watt was dominant come playoff time in his rookie season. Nix is exacty what we've been missing. Joseph and Kareem don't suck so you're simply exaggerating there.

 Looks like you do have the words, they are just nonsensical.

    Choice.
Players make this *CHOICE* once every 4~5 yrs
    but
Teams get to make a *CHOICE* every year. . . ..
    BAH HUMBUG

If a Team can dump folx every year without being seen as being petty/selfish/etc
    then
I give the player the same respect to want to leave

I'm just asking you to learn the lesson that Sterling didn't. He made one stupid comment and then had a whole interview full of stupid comments. Learn from him and stop digging the hole.

I'm not sure he has a choice unless he makes it to the 2017 season as a FA
