CBA statment: Yao Ming will not attend the fraft conference at June 26th

it's not blowing it out of porportion, it's hooking the listeners to continue to listen to more drivel and commercials... they hook you for 2 or 3 segments, you get hear alot of commercials then they tell you he'll still be in the draft, just not at the draft!?

 

windandsea, where is the Chinese National Team playing these games that start June 30th?

If they take place in China or a great distance from NY, I can understand why the CBA would want to keep Ming fresh, even if it is disappointing that he won't be able to the excitement of being selected first in the draft.

Question for the other posters, if Ming is not in attendance at the draft and assuming the Rockets do select him, will he be the first number one pick not in attendance in the history of the draft?

 

Nice of them to talk to Yao Ming and see what he wants! But the Commies know what is best for their people, like the Great Leap Forward where 10s of Millions died from starvation. Mao is Great!Mao is Good!

When Yao Ming's name is announced during the draft, I guess there will be 'boos' all over the place by the fans (of course except the Chinese and Rockets fans)...
