If you are thinking about the Rockets, they are in worst shape. The have fewest ping pong balls in the lottery, except for 2 other teams. They have about 0.1% chance of landing a top 3 pick.
You don't think KG could have led the Spurs to championships if he came into the league playing for a great organization alongside David Robinson?
i disagree. just like if you put lebron on the lakers. or wade. or paul pierce. KG may not have won the same # of rings as duncan did, but he definitely would have won one.
What's funny is I remember playing NBA Live during those times and I was such a fan I would refuse to use any other team. Somehow I convinced myself the talent was better than IRL results. We had guys like Cedric Henderson starting, someone who had no business even being 12th man on any team. As a Cavs fan you learned to not pay attention to the draft. It's a given they will be absolutely worthless. It's like they don't even pay attention nor care about building through the draft. They just pick guys just because they're obligated to. "What pick do we have this year? Oh, ok." --randomly picks name off Yahoo! Sports draft prospects website-- "We'll take this guy" --Whispers to assistant-- "Find some way to get rid of him next year so we can clear a spot for the 3rd string PG from the Bulls."
Isn't that what the blog was saying? The only asset they really had was James because the routinely blow their opportunities in the draft? Hopefully, they've done something to upgrade their player evaluations for the coming draft(s) -- though they probably haven't.
