I think someone will offer Parsons the max at 14.5... a lot of money out there and not a ton of talent... Parsons also has decent potential and could end up being worthy of that contract. I just hope Leslie is willing to pay that.
This free agency is moving at a snails pace! I hope SOMETHING gets resolved TODAY! ....... ....... .......
I saw that too half hour ago, but everything is depending on LBJ now! <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Hearing Cavs have strong interest in Rockets RFA Chandler Parsons if LeBron elects to stay to Miami. Parsons said to be next-in-line target</p>— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/statuses/486901917202014209">July 9, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I can see it now: Parsons and Manziel, all over instagram and Twitter. Hanging out with the Bieber. Raucus sex parties. Just living the dream Sounds like a good fit for Parsons
Hell, everyone is supposedly targeting Chandler, it seems, if half these rumors have legs. The cat is going to get paid. I hope it's with the Rockets.
Best case scenario for us would be: Lebron returns home, takes Allen and Miller with him. Melo resigns with NYC. Bosh accepts our max deal. We resign Parsons. Sign Emeka as backup C. Heat left with their thumb up their a*@! Bosh is the stretch 4 and perimeter defense we desperately need on this teem
No chance we lose Parsons if we miss out on Bosh/Melo. If we get a Bosh/Melo, We'd have no cap room to sign anyone else.
Parsons has yet to even take ONE meeting with potential suitors (and there are plenty of them out there), and its already July 9th. What does that tell you about this situation Parsons is in? A. Parsons knows he either has Houston matching at the max, or Dallas offering the max(probably his #2 option to sign with). and B. Teams are probably letting this out there to sell their fans that they are spenders, or that they have a master and backup plan... when they really dont. What seems crazy to me, is that Parsons hasn't even taken a meeting yet with a team like the Lakers. IMO if they are a serious suitor, its a no-brainer that a player like Parsons (lets be honest, he's not a superstar) wouldn't at least want to hear what the Lakers have to offer him outside of a nice contract. Parsons is coming back to Houston I can almost surely guarantee. You can go ahead and pencil in his 14.8 mil salary next year as pretty much a given regardless of what happens with Bosh.
This is either one of the greatest off seasons or the worst! DRUMMM ROLLLLL!!!!! Decision will be made in T-5 hours.
