First off, know what a troll is before you call someone that.

Secondly, where in my post do I call your "shipping Yao out"?

Third, if you're going to stalk me on this board please go back to my previous thread after the Laker game praising Yao for a great game.

Lastly, please don't think I lose a minute of sleep over what you or anyone else calls me.

PS. A "Troll" is not someone that has an opinion different than yours. And like I said before, if a "Troll" is someone that is critical of a Rocket player on a Rocket board then everyone that trashes Steve Francis is also a "Troll" and I have a lot of company.

Big Z has his market value. Cav can easily get Bobby Jackson, Sam Cassel, Hirich, Troy Huson, Andre Miller, Gilber Arenas. and maybe Parker with big Z's value.

Oh, come on. If the Rockets had wanted to pick Lebron first, they'd have shipped out Mobley or Francis in the same offseason. Same with the Cavs and Z. Teams will make the necessary personell changes in these situations.

Looking at their stats, I just can't see how Lebron can impact the game more than Yao, as of this moment.

    Lebron's averaged stats

    40 minutes
    43.7% eFG(adjusted for 3 pointers, on 19 attempts)
    76% FT(5.3 attempts)
    20.7 PPG
    5.6 APG
    5.8 RPG
    1.6 SPG
    3.5 TO per game

    Yao's averaged stats

    32 minutes
    53.9% FG(12 attempts)
    79.5% FT(5.5 attempts)
    17.5 PPG
    8.7 RPG
    1.6 APG
    2.4 TO per game

    ------------

Basically, Lebron scores 3 more pts than Yao with 7 extra shots. Sure, he has more assists, but it's clear that Yao's ability to create for his teammate is MUCH more than his assists numbers suggests. I'd say a solid advantage Yao on offense. On defense, well, it's really no contest. There's no way Lebron comes close to the impact Yao has on defense.

Um... no. While it is true that Z and Yao are similar types of players THUS FAR, they are far from being interchangeable.

Z is a soon to be 28 year old, in his 6th season with injury problems. Yao is a young 23 year old in his second season with unlimited potential. Z is pretty much close to being as good as he's going to get. Yao is not even close to where he can be. Z has a normal body, Yao has a great body (basketball wise).

There's a reason when they talk about the future of the NBA they talk about Yao instead of Z, despite being the same type of players. Yao is already further along in his 2nd year than Z in his 6th year. There's no telling where he can be in 6 years.

If you do that we would have no inside pressense. I mean, you exchange a HUGE center for a guard/foward. Who else would we have at the C position? Cato and Spoon? We would suck.

I think that the Cavs would have actually picked Yao if they had gottent he first pick last year because up till Yaop's rookie year I think Z had actually played in like 30 something games in 2-3 years. Talented, but very injury prone with his ankle problems. I dont think the Rox would necessarily "suck" with Bron in the lineup, the Suns got to the playoffs last year with that kind of team in the West, so who knows what could happen. Bron is a very very special player. As for the streetball thing, I have played streetball before my knee surgery and it dpeends on who you hanging with usually. If you play with your friends against other people, it isn't as selfish as one might think. On the other hand, if you just going down to the courts to pick up a game or two, then yes it usually can get pretty ball hoggy because you dont know any of the people on your team so you tend to trust yourself instead. I dont think Franchise and Mobes are bad teammates in all honesty, they just need some adjustments amde to their roles. I look forward to the Rox winning many championships in the future with the continued emergence of Yao and the development and evolution of Franchise and Cat's roles.
