In your world, we don't keep Scola nor Lowry?

I said it before. Gilbert and his team are not to be trusted!

If the Rockets sign Lowry to 6 million/yr, what sort of deal would Brooks ask for next summer? And if the Rockets are committing, say, 15 million/yr just for their PG spot -- what do they do with Llul?

Plus Lowry is easily our BEST option thus far even at that price.

I don't know why everyone is acting all surprised. BimaThug estimated that he would be resigned at ~$5MM per, about 6 months ago. So this is nothing that we didn't see coming. He will be resigned.

ARGH. Lowry is my favorite Rocket. This is a tough spot. As previously stated, 6 mil is a lot for a backup PG. But I am in favor of making Kyle the starter. Aaron has high value (especially around the league), but in a Yao-Martin setup, you don't necessarily need a scoring PG. My gut says to match it, but its hard to commit that kind of money. If we do, I hope he improves his 3 pt game. then no worries.

well its time to see where the Rockets (Morey) really stand on this. I just think if we pay him that much, he needs to be starting. That ain't backup money. I love my boy Lowry but he better be paying 30-35 minutes for that kind of money.

I like Kyle a lot, but that is just too much for a backup PG....I would let him walk and go after Sessions etc.

    And wish him the best.

And apparently 2 people have voted, but one is invisible.........maybe a mod voted "no"?

Now there are "3" invisible "No" voters..hmmmmmmm

I would have to. He's too good. Also, worst case scenario, you trade him and gain an asset. But just letting him walk for nothing? You can't do it.

Sounds close to about market rate, considering that Luke Ridnour just got 16 mil/4 year deal. Lowry is a better player than Ridnour, especially defensively. Also, Lowry's got a lot of upside considering his age.

    Agreed, this IS tough.

Guarantee you, GMs will use this against us, and give Scola a HUGE offer, making us screw ourselves further, in terms of cap space.

He's young and has loads of potential. We should match.
