Clutch, if you're reading, can you put a poll on this thread asking whether we should match or not?

They are doing it because they plan on trading Mo Williams.

If we match this offer then I believe it is a sign that Morey may be willing to trade Brooks and make Lowry a starter.

Oh man. I was hoping he'd get offered less than that. I'm happy for Kyle - but I hope the Rockets decide it's worth it to match. I would hate to see him leave. I LOVE what he brings to the Rockets.

Everyone has been begging the Cavs to make a move to hurt other teams, well they hurt us.

I'd rather develop Kyle further than take him back when he is 30 and almost done.

    Crap, just crap!

Hopefully we can work out a sign and trade with them. But I don't think they have any assets that we would be interested.

Maybe Varejao? Or Gibson? Even Parker?

    We are screwed!

Our backup would be earning more money than our starter if Morey matches the offer. smh.

no just means they signed him to an offer sheet but since he is a rfa the rockets can match any offer

Well, Morey has 7 days to see if he can find a comparable PG through trade or FA before deciding. But that contract is absolutely crazy for a player of Lowry's caliber.

I think Sessions is overhyped by some, but if he'd be a similar player with a smaller contract, and available basically for free.

There are plenty of 6th men that get paid that much or more. I actually thought Lowry was worth possibly more over a longer period of time. This is a no-brainer match, esp. since Lowry may be our starter at some point. I actually think Morey should extend the offer to more years if that is possible.

He already signed the contract, apparently. If we match, he's ours.

    2 things to worry about

    1. if we do match, what does this mean for Brooks? if Lowry can get 6 mil/year, Brooks can probably command up to 8-10mil/year

    2. if we don't match, wonder what that tell Brooks, he's worth more than 6-8mil/year since they couldn't pay a backup 6mil/year

you may wanna compare this to Moochie's contract 6 years/23million and he got this before Francis signed his max extention
